Nats are really solid top to bottom. I think they will still make a move at 3B, but not JD. Something like Kyle Seager to platoon with Castro.
Very different team than their prior stars and scrubs approach. The floor is much higher but the ceiling might be lower.

Are the Nats going with a 50 man roster? Where tf are they putting these guys?

Thames replaces Matt Adams. Will Harris replaces whatever righthanded scrub was in the back of their BP. Castro replaces Dozier. The rest of the guys were already there.
But they lose 7 wins with Rendon, sooo

Heyman:
"Even after all their recent spending and signings, Nats are leaving offer on table to Donaldson and would welcome him to team. Doesn’t make them favorites but they have not completely given up. Rival Braves actually seen as likely favorite, Twins among those also in."
I think he's a Brave, but if Nats sign him they go way over the CBT and would basically have last year's team (if you consider Rendon and Donaldson a wash), but with Thames replacing Adams and Harris replacing Fernando fricking Rodney lol.
Whoever gets JD is the division favorite, IMO.

What are your thoughts?

I have a feeling we're gonna resign Ozuna for a lot less than originally thought.

as with everything, depends on the cost

Lux, May, Gray?

i would try to make a trade centered around seager who can fill yalls whole at third plus a gray/downs/ruiz prospect. then the negotiation would begin on what the periphery of the deal needs to look like
i would offer seager, ruiz, and stuff. but id rather the team pursue mookie until that is absolutely dead

Ive said before but I will again. It is with a saddened heart that I say this but the weed must be purged. Go to the source. AJ Hinch. Ban him from baseball and his return must be predicated on entering the AL West but not with the Astros.

ive seen some rumblings of luhnow maybe getting suspended. i dont even know how that would work. like he just cant show up to the park?
Posted on 1/7/20 at 11:18 am to WestCoastAg
Probably ban him from official communication channels as well.
Not that he can't just relay everything through assistants to whomever is the interim GM.

Luhnow didnt do anything. Hes just a good, smart kid who is trying to make some money to go to college and was preyed on and lured into a scheme (which he didnt even know was illegal might I add) by the dastardly Hunch, I mean Hinch.

Didn’t Loomis get suspended during the Saints thing? I assume he just can’t communicate with team employees for that set period of time

I expect at least partial season suspensions for Luhnow and Hinch, loss of multiple draft picks including this year's first round pick and a record fine.
MLB wants to pretend the entire league isn't doing this so they've got to act like they have some balls and make an example out of the Astros for all the other teams that *aren't* doing the same shite.

Reliever Steve Cishek and the Chicago White Sox are in agreement on a one-year, $6 million deal, sources familiar with the agreement tell ESPN. The contract includes an option that could take the deal to a second year at $12 million total.
