#Yankees are on the clock. So are the #Angels #Dodgers, etc. Multiple sources telling me Gerrit Cole is probable to finalize his contract at these winter meetings

Rendon gets more years than that in my opinion

I could see something where he gets an opt out after 5. Like a 7 year, 220 deal where he gets 180 through 5 and can opt into 2/40

way too low imo. He's rumored to have already turned down 7/$215

Braves in addition to Phillies (and others) are another team that could be a fit for a Kris Bryant trade. They seek 3B and prefer not to go too long term.

Austin Riley, Kyle Wright, and William Contreras for Bryant if the grievance is settled and has two years left. If not, he's getting a top 50 prospect and a lottery ticket for just 2020.

Which highlights the issue. No way Bryant is getting traded until that thing is settled and who knows when that is

There are only 15 players if that on an NBA roster, you do know this, right?

Bryant is 27, soon to be 28

You would be a fool to pay kings ransom for him.

Rendon has made comments about not wanting to play well into his 30s

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he takes a deal of only 5 years. And retires by 35

boras is now tweeting as joel sherman

Cole’s final payday is now expected to exceed $300 million — and not by a penny or two. Nine years at $324 million is $36M on avg per year and that is probably not a bad over/under. What Strasburg signed for would move me to take the over on Cole.
