Teresa actually ended up in a huge lawsuit in order to keep his autopsy photos private, I don’t remember the details but for the life of me I can’t imagine why they’d be made public but someone tried

Media petitioned to get them, the courts got involved and the autopsy photos were sealed forever.
The autopsy report and some images from inside the car after Dale was removed, that do show blood, are out there.

Some student newspaper or something absurd tried to argue they were public record so people could learn from it but I’m pretty sure it ended up being a gore website

There's a podcast episode out there with one of the drivers that was involved in the Wheldon accident. He said he was brought into the medical facility right before Wheldon. He said that a nurse told him under no circumstances was he to turn around. He did anyway and said there was blood everywhere and Wheldon's head was as flat as a pancake.

There was a debate on some of the details of his death or something .i don’t remember the details but I believe the judge did let a 3rd party view the photos to appease the press and then sealed them .

I would be shocked if a driver said that. I have a hard time believing a driver would say that about another driver, especially since it could be them some day.

I've seen the inside of the car photos. You can see blood, but they aren't high quality photos. The autopsy report is just a report, there are no photos attached to it.

it's the dinner with racers podcast, paul tracy episode. he doesnt mention much about wheldon beyond this, though.
