I looked at every person in the video and looked for chest compressions. The only thing that looked similar to chest compressions was the guy that appears to be at his feet when they got him out of the car.

Due to the postponement of yesterday’s Daytona 500, tonight’s originally-scheduled NASCAR America will not air this evening.
Yeah.... that's something they should have put out prior to today. Makes sense, but doesn't make sense them just now announcing it

Yep that crash had multiple devastating parts. First obviously the hard turn into the fence. 2nd and one of the worst things I have seen is the flip upside down and hit in a spot not normally hit that is right where his head and body is. Scary

Yeah it would be ineffective.

Newman has always been a clean racer… He would make you work to pass him but he would never take anyone out… Not as long as I can remember. Blaney is an over anxious a-hole and all of this is on his head. Does not respect the sport.

That's what I figured the deal was. As I recall it's not a live show so they have to have time to put it together.

In the clearer video posted they are pitting a neck brace on.

It’s been an hour and a half and not even a single legit report that he was alert when taken to the hospital.
Seems at the very least, that would have been released if he had been
Not good

Correct, NASCAR America is a taped show. Had NBC been broadcasting the race, they might could do something live, but since it was Fox they didn't.

You're a fricking moron. Not Blaney's fault, not Hamlin's fault. It's plate racing dumbass

Plus he slid down the track upside down with no roof
where he's sitting.

I was thinking the same. They spent a lot of time preparing him for a short trip.
If it was a cpr/criticalsituation I would think they would have been more concerned about getting him loaded and to the hospital and less time preparing him for the short ride.
I am not an Emt though.

Not to mention Newman is a big guy. Just extricating him involved some extra precautions.

I'm praying for the best and do not know anything more than being a fan, but I have never seen NASCAR not cover a car that they thought the driver was not going to make it. On the other side Geoff Bodine is the only one that was covered and lived.

When there is a Ryan Newman update to give, we will give it. I so appreciate the stress and helplessness of waiting. But until there is actual information, speculation does no good. #Daytona500

Everyone has to look for someone to blame. People sent death threats to Sterling Marlin after Dale's death. Blaney was not at fault here. It's the last lap of the Daytona 500, everyone is going for it.
