MLB has announced its health and safety protocols for 2021.

?

7-inning doubleheaders

?

Automatic runner in extra innings

?

Wearable contact tracing devices

?

Expanded COVID-19 testing

?

Face mask enforcement officers

?

Active roster of 26 (28 in Sept.)

Plus continued strict enforcement and punishment for unnecessary personnel entering the field of play. Gonna be 2022 before you jokers can brawl wit the 17 Champs.

Clayton Kershaw has reached enlightenment on the complexities of payroll and roster management. You just get creative and figure something out.

i mean he isnt all that wrong. multi year death tanks really arent good for the sport, its not guaranteed to work for teams, and stuff like the arenado trade only makes things worse

Your total obsession with the Dodgers payroll is kinda weird

Maybe they should have revenue sharing in baseball and a salary cap so all the teams can just be equal and have more parity like the NFL

I would actually love to see a player like Kershaw’s opinion on this and whether he understands what it would mean for him and his team. Would tell a lot about how much he really knows

Him calling out the “creativity” of baseball front offices is probably the funniest part of that statement

Your sensitivity to people mocking their payroll is kinda hysterical

So you wanna be the most coveted free agent on the market and sign with the World Series champions in Los Angeles? Welcome to hell...

Trevor Bauer offered granular detail about a harassment experience he believes he faced: a fan followed him to his hotel elevator in search of a signature. He said little about the harassment he has inflicted on others online. Why that remains a concern.

Trevor Bauer did not take any accountability today for his past harassment of women online in his introductory press conference at Dodger Stadium today. Here is what he could have said instead:

quote:

@molly_knight

Shocked and pleasantly surprised the male reporters on this Trevor Bauer press conference are pressing him and Friedman on Bauer’s past harassment of women online.

My hand’s been up I’m waiting my turn.

Well I did not get called on but that is OK. My male colleagues did a good job asking questions. I would have asked Andrew Friedman if his vetting process involved talking to any women.

Are they trying to make me sympathetic to Bauer?

for the most part people are kinda over it outside of molly who is about as stereotypical for a female athletic contributor as youd expect

she was one of the people who thought there would be deaths!!!!!! if we let sports continue this summer

I had no idea what this was even about. Apparently his "online harassment of women" is being a dick on Twitter to a person who happened to be a woman. I mean come on. Bauer is awful but hes universally a dick without discrimination.

His “harassment” was him responding to someone who went after him first. That never seems to come up.

basically the worst thing you can say about bauer is that he is unapologetically a fricking weirdo and id assume has some sort of social disorder which causes him to not really get how to properly interact with people which leads people to either fricking hate him like gerrit cole and mickey callaway or think hes alright like some of his other teammates/guys hes worked out with like, funny enough, walker buehler

his twitter things arent great but like holy shite we have people in the sport like osuna and aroldis chapman. hell, he wouldnt even be like 3rd on the list of dodgers who have a checkered past with women over the past 3 years and people are losing their minds

I guess one of the qualifications for being a sports journalist these days is being completely unbearable and annoying AF.

Wait.... Trevor might have a future option after his baseball career ends
