Really makes you wonder what we would've seen had Penn St won Saturday.

Penn State would have made this much more of a game than what we have now

My son just dropped this line on me after the clean hit:

"That Yale kid just temporarily joined the Space Program!"

Hahaha

They were so good in transition against PSU and today they're complete garbage. It kind of makes me wish we had that intergallactic offense that Penn State had. Would have been an incredible match up.

That is the beauty of this sport. You play all year long with 2 games per week. But rarely 2 games in a weekend. Let alone, likely the hottest weekend of the year for most programs. You make it to championship weekend & have to be ready to play 2 mid day games inside of 52 hours. Which means you HAVE to develop your bench/depth.
Yale is showcasing what happens when you mostly play your top 15-20 players in a game.

It's a lot like managing a conference baseball tourney team after the final weekend of the regular season but ahead of the regional. You have to manage your guns.

Tournament lacrosse is just flat out soul sucking lol it's draining. I don't know enough about either team but it appears that you're dead on. UVA has way more energy. They are winning every ground ball and making all the hustle plays on transitions.

UVA has completely neutralized Yale's faceoff advantage. It's 17-5 in favor of Yale. That's incredible.

I wanted to see them score but that UVA goalie is on and Yale just had a mental breakdown.

Looks like Tiffany has UVA rolling again. Really tough to recruit against them when they have it working there.

It’s over now. Congrats to UVA, unfortunately a somewhat disappointing final but likely the most exciting tournament I’ve ever watched and UVA won it playing an entertaining style.

ETA: On another positive note, this looked like the most well attended tournament since they jacked up ticket/parking prices in 2011

Has to be the best UVA sports year of all time.

Obviously basketball is the biggest accomplishment in UVA sports history. Lacrosse is always a national power but it’s still hard to win the tournament.

Football team even won a bowl game, which while not impressive for most, has not happened a ton in UVA’s history.

Someone give Carla a raise before UGA tries to poach her.

Let’s not forget. The coaching hires were all under Littlepage. I’ll give her credit for establishing long term vision and being a cool arse person, but Mendenhall, Bennett, and Tiffany we’re here before her.

Anyway, Wahoowa! Great to see another one in the trophy case
