An article in the Athletic today talks about how GMs would be in favor of expanding the # playoff teams past 16. I really don't like this idea... expanding the playoffs would have to mean there is either a "play in" game/series like the MLB or top teams would get a first round bye I guess. Thoughts?

How in the holy hell do the Jackets have the same chance as the Caps to make the finals and win the Cup? While I don't think the Caps have a good chance, it is surely better than the Jackets right now.
