I wouldn't give him more than 10 mill as a backup. If he gets more on the open market then let him be. I'd be ok with them giving him 12+ if they could trade verajo. So dumb they gave him 10 a year.
And getting rid of Love isn't an option. If he wants to stay, which all reports show that he does, then you keep him.
He is WAYYYY more valuable than TT

If Love would be going to the Lakers or Blazers he'd probably just sign with them, because they have the cap space to do so. It's possible that he does a sign and trade, but who knows?
I haven't heard of any teams that are interested in TT, probably because they all know that he isn't leaving the Cavs.

Reports are that TT turned down 4 for 54 mil this past offseason, which is insane.

Meh some people have also reported that that number was made up and not even close to what they actually offered.
I can see them giving him big bucks because lebron wants him and shite but from an intelligence standpoint. That would be a very costly mistake

Per LA Times, the Lakers will offer LMA 4/$80
Greg Monroe is meeting with Boston, Knicks, Bucks, Lakers and Blazers.

All their financial eggs now go into the big-man basket. They want to talk to LaMarcus Aldridge, he wants to listen, and if all goes well for both sides, the four-time All-Star signs a four-year, $80-million deal to be the Lakers' power forward.

Monroe, an unrestricted free agent who played five years with the Detroit Pistons, joins centers Marc Gasol and DeAndre Jordan and power forward LaMarcus Aldridge as those available who could most bolster a team’s frontcourt.
Five teams have shown serious interest — the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers. Monroe said he’ll meet with those teams this week.

If LA wants a legit shot at a title run then why would he go to the 4th best team in the West when the Hawks are primed for anther run like last season? It's an easier road in the East, plus the Hawks have a great system in place that could really compliment his game.
Fwiw: I don't think the Hawks sign him.

Does Detroit not want Monroe anymore? I thought getting rid of J. Smith, would free them up commit to him. But all the reports have him moving on. I really wish the Pelicans would move on him. He would be a great fit next to Davis. Plus he is from NO and all..

and lebron opts out as expected

Pretty sure it's the other way around.

No money. I was hoping for a possible S/T involving Ryno but that went out the window when they traded for Ilyasova.

It's pretty much mutual. He doesn't fit.

Cleveland needs to just keep Varejao, Thompson, Mosgov, and Love. Varejao at most is only there for at most two more seasons.
The Cavs would have won a championship if healthy this season. So there is no reason to destroy the team. If anything you have to leave Thompson out in favor of Love and Mosgov.

I hope you mean DeSean Jackson or DJ Tanner. DeAndre Jordan will never be better than he is*, and will always be removed from the court in crunch time.
*he is very limited as a player, and I think buyers remorse sets in about 1/2 way through the season.

Greg needs to go to the Bucks, they have enough length and rim protection. They need scoring. The Knicks would be a good choice too because of the triangle.

Rockets free agent guard Corey Brewer, 29, is open-minded in re-signing, but his preference is to sign long-term deal, a source told Yahoo.

I'd be very interested in him as a pel.
He's a perfect fit for Gentry/Erman but that shooting...

I am just saying they don't need to overhaul when they have plenty enough talent when healthy to win a championship. That is why I would bring Love back.
Posted on 6/28/15 at 4:57 pm to NorthGAVol
I hope Aldridge goes to the Spurs or Mavs, Jordan goes to the Bucks, and Monroe stays in the East (Boston or New York). Need to get some talent in the Eastern conference and if Aldridge stays West he needs to go to a team that was already in the playoffs, not one making a push for the playoffs.
Purely selfish reasons for all of these
