Houston isn't going to have much money to work with, as they already have a large portion of their salary committed to James Harden, Dwight Howard and Trevor Ariza. They are also going to try and re-sign Corey Brewer, Patrick Beverley and K.J. McDaniels, so they may not have enough money to give Smith a truly enticing deal. The one thing working in their favor is that Smoov will be getting paid by the Pistons, so he may be willing to give the Rockets a bit of a bargain if he likes his situation. He did say that he'd like to return to Houston, but a big money offer from another team might sway his decision.

Monta Ellis plans on discussing a long-term contract with the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat in free agency this summer.
Ellis recently opted out his contract with the Mavericks and they don't seem to be too interested in bringing him back. The Hawks could have plenty of cap space if Paul Millsap or DeMarre Carroll leaves in free agency, while Ellis could be a backup plan for the Heat if Dwyane Wade decides to leave. The Pacers are also said to be interested, and Ellis would likely be a great fit alongside George Hill. Free agency is going to be a lot of fun this summe

Carroll and Green will have no shortage of suitors on the open market, so this will be a very difficult task for Stan Van Gundy. SVG covets 3-point shooters, and both Carroll and Green are lethal from beyond the arc. Detroit was able to take Stanley Johnson in the draft with the eight pick, but his value could take a hit if the Pistons sign another wing this summer.

Emmanuel Mudiay's arrival in Denver could spell trouble for Ty Lawson according to Mark Kiszla of the Denver Post.
Lawson stirred up some drama when he said in a video that he was going to Sacramento after the Nuggets selected Mudiay with the seventh pick in the draft, and the rumors have continued to escalate ever since. Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly was reportedly "giddy" when Mudiay fell to No. 7, and he may not want to put up with Lawson's antics much longer. The Kings have been a rumored destination for Lawson for a while now, and George Karl's presence in Sacramento is obviously a huge factor as well. We will be following this story closely all summer.

come on. Pau was never mentioned in any trade rumors until he pulled his disappearing act in the 2011 playoffs vs Dallas.

he was a part of a trade that, sure, probably made things awkward and is not the best way to treat a player. then mike dantoni trivialized him in the worst way possible by putting him on the bench at certain points. i mean outside of the CP3 trade, i really dont see nor had i ever heard of an issue between pau and laker management. unless he blames dantoni on them which is eh
