The 2016 Class is sooo bad

*I take back my Conley comment because I didn't realize Horford was a FA*

2017 is absurd

I mean Noah/Horford/Al Jeff/Batum isn't too bad though.

Batum and Noah both just had arguably the worst seasons of their careers tho.

I love Big Al, but he will be 31 at the time in league that is moving away from his type of game.

I LOVE Horford's game

No idea since the cap is jumping up so much. It won't be a max deal though hopefully unless he has some crazy good season

It probably will be a max if the FA class is as bad as you say

He's going to get offered a max deal if he's healthy and stays great defensively. Teams will have to reach the salary floor, so they'll need to spend ~80 mil in cap space.

Bradley Beal, Harrison Barnes, Andre Drummond, Hassan Whiteside, and Jonas Valanciunas are some other interesting names. It'll be interesting to see how teams react when these RFA's get offered big numbers.

Also the 2 PF's from Houston will be free agents.

It is just so rare for guys to turn down that 2nd deal from the team that drafted them

ESPN ranks Milwaukee Bucks as the best young core in the NBA..

quote:

Projected three-year WARP: 92.5

Monroe doesn't turn 26 until June of next season, yet he likely will be the oldest member of a Milwaukee starting lineup that will grow together over the next few years….And these numbers are almost certainly underselling Parker, whose rookie numbers don't give him a great baseline from which to project.

I hadn't seen these yet, but NBATV did some Open Court episodes with Gentry, Karl, Blatt, Carlisle, Lionel Hollins, and McHale

How the game has evolved

- Lionel couldn't be further apart from the rest of this group in this department

Basically.

I think putting it at 1% is too high, so no, I don't think it's anything worth talking about with any real chance of happening.

I agree, but I think some of these teams may be hesitant to match a max deal with the new cap, which will be starting at roughly 22 mil for these players coming off of their first contract.

Maybe they wont though.

Beal, Drummond, and Valanciunas will almost certainly be matched. Barnes may get interesting. Whiteside has an interesting contract situation. He will get big offers, but Miami doesn't have full Bird Rights.

Horford will re-sign with the Hawks. I think he's the one that will remain a Hawk for his entire career.
