You don't think he is?
Posted on 6/29/15 at 9:08 pm to Boomshockalocka
Exactly. I'm not dissing the Spurs but the Lakers have a very long track record of being able to attract the top talent by any means necessary and winning championships with said talent. I think the longest streak the Lakers have gone without a title since moving to LA is like 12 years.

He's known for being one of the brighter guys in the league today. As for being a head case Idk about that bro I don't know him personally but from what I see no I just can't agree with that at all.

If Tim is recruiting that means it's serious

Probably also means they've given up on Gasol

Probably so, I don't think anyone thinks he's leaving

I'm not really sure how they expect players to take Scott seriously.

He would've looked like a genius if not for basketball reasons. Dr. Buss was not heavily involved during his last few years.

And let's not forget the offseason of 2012 and what it looked like at the time

Yeah it turned out to be shite
Posted on 6/29/15 at 9:31 pm to RTR America
And at that time, it looked like a genius offseason
Posted on 6/29/15 at 9:34 pm to WestCoastAg
But it wasn't. Which is the point

And my point is that we have been able to acquire talent under Jim buss. And let's not act like dr. Jerry buss was actually running the team when we won in 2010. Jim was making major decisions about the teams future as early as 2007

LAC HOU OKC GSW are pretty clearly the top 4 in the West these days.
I personally thought Memphis was the second best team in the West last year, but the Green trade didn't pan out exactly.
Hope Memphis can add more shooting AND retain Green.

He did draft Bynum, who before the flame out was the second best center in the league at the time....that being said, I'd be disappointed if LMA doesn't pick the Spurs.
let the Lakers build with Randle and Russell. LMA prefers the 4 would need to bring in another big to play the 5 for him.
