he also was a major reason why why we didn't trade him at the deadline in 2007

He did draft Bynum, who before the flame out was the second best center in the league at the time.
I'll give him major credit for not trading him back in 2007 when Kobe was going apeshit and the entire fanbase wanted to send Bynum and Odom for Kidd or Jermaine O'Neal. He stuck to his guns, acquired Pau and two more championships were won because of that.

But they traded for Dwight and Nash blowing a bunch of assets on two guys that basically had zero impact on the franchise. We are talking about free agency.

SAS will likely S&T splitter to land aldridge.
LMA is also meeting with TOR

I personally thought Memphis was the second best team in the West last year, but the Green trade didn't pan out exactly.
Hope Memphis can add more shooting AND retain Green.
It was more the hellacious post ASB schedule where they started later than everyone and had to play the most B2B's in the league.
Throw in Conley, CLee, TA, and Jeff Green getting hurt and you can see why they fell out of 2nd.
But that is just Boom being Boom. Draymond said the Grizz was the best team they played, I'll live with his opinion over Boom's.

If you're Aldridge, there is no reason to decline meetings. I'm sure it's a fun situation to be in. By telling Portland he's out, I think he gets to enjoy it even more.

If I could pick and choose who goes where for "basketball reasons" it would be-
LMA--->Spurs
Gasol --->Grizz
Love ---->Hawks
Monroe--->Knicks or Bucks
Millsap---->Blazers
Robin Lopez and David West---->Lakers
Tyson Chandler--->Mavs
DeAndre Jordan--->Nets
Brook Lopez---->Knicks or Bucks

quote:steve nash was a free agent. remember how he was taking visits to Toronto and shite? and once again. you are talking about this as we know now. back in august of 2012, it looked like a genius move. we have been able to acquire talent under jim buss, and we have won a significant amount with jim being the de facto owner

im ultimately not a fan of jim or Jeanie and I wish they took a smaller role in the franchise, but lets not go idiotic and act like the lakers haven't won anything under jim

But at the time everyone was penciling in Lakers/Heat for the Finals. Yeah, it went about as bad as it possibly could've but it wasn't from a lack of attracting star power.

Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young are expected to stay with the Nets this offseason with Young looking for a deal worth around $50 million over four years.
Both are expected to agree with the Nets early in free agency. With the Nets dealing Mason Plumlee, they are absolutely going to need both Young and Lopez. Thad played 32 minutes per game in the playoffs and is likely looking at similar playing time next season

Sources say Nets execs believe there's a trade market for Deron Williams w/ belief that some teams think PG just needs a change of scenery
The Raptors could look to deal DeMar DeRozan this summer while "whispers continue to circulate" that his camp wants $25 million per season a year from now, according to Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun.
While DeRozan has really been adept at adding points at the line, he was still only able to turn in a 51.0 true shooting percentage last season. He only made 21.7 percent on his pull-up 3-pointers while making just 28.7 percent of all of his 3-pointers. Unless he makes some sort of crazy leap from deep, DeRozan won't be worth that kind of money in the 2015 NBA. Of course, nothing is imminent on the trade front here

Well guys like Simmons and a few of the other national guys etc were all on that train too saying they were a contender all season up until the last month when it was clear that they weren't. For some of us it didn't take that long to see that they weren't a contender. TBH I think they were the 5th best team when the playoffs started I don't think they would've won a series v anyone other than NOP, POR, and DAL in the West.

Monroe to Knicks
B Lopez to stay at Nets
Jordan to Bucks
Otherwise I'd be good with those moves.

Memphis owns the Clippers....but with Conley banged up, it left them vulnerable.
A healthy Grizz team gives GS tons of trouble.
