Boom told me he was top 5 of all-time so I'm confused.

It will probably consist of Dwight accolades from 4 years ago as usual.

Portland should be dead last on this list

Funny to see how Boom is in everyone's head, particularly Pellies fans. They already have this thread dedicated to him on the Peliboard.

If you were starting a franchise today and could sign any player in the NBA, who would it be?
1. Anthony Davis, New Orleans -- 86.2%
2. Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City -- 6.9%
LeBron James, Cleveland -- 6.9%
Last year: LeBron James -- 50.0%

There must be a lot of GMs with job stability. Lebron on your team instantly makes you a championship contender. Nothing secures a job more than a couple of titles.

So the question is 3 years of almost guaranteed Finals trips with good chances of championships, or a gamble that a 22 year old will have as much impact as Lebron did/does for the next decade? I think Lebron and Kobe's pretty much major injury free career has spoiled people into thinking all superstars last at that level for over a decade.

Also why is the whole first page strictly about Boom? Seems like he's not the one who actually derails the threads.

the 1 bottom line measure to value players for Boom is:

GM survey
PER
win shares
1st team All NBA votes
VORP
jersey sales
TS%

I have my reasoning

He brought up the GM survey like every fricking time the Gasol/Dwight conversation.

I at least made two other posts about the survey

Because the dude can't stay away from that board and clutters it with his foolishness. Sometimes you troll the troll.

PER is the best! Unless it doesn't fit my argument! Then it doesn't tell the whole picture!

Boom isn't going to post in this thread. He's in Europe right now doing a little scouting work. He should be back next week.

Is Boom the guy that scouts but isn't employed currently by any basketball team, club, or organization?

It's too bad there isn't any hardware given out for an opinion poll. It'd be the first and last for 95% of them.
