Mickelson blew it to Rose (granted Rose hit some nice putts

Rose took that point. He made some great shots.

Furyk is getting a lot of blame (and deservedly so) for being 1 up going into 17 and losing. He completely folded. It wasn't like Sergio was throwing darts on those last 2 holes. Jim left the door wide open

What was he supposed to do? Rattle his change in his pocket while Rose was putting so he wouldn't make that bomb on 17? or give him a "noonan" while he hit his approach on 18?
It's not what he should have done it is what he did. Not sure about you but I certainly don't applaud when my buddy drops a bomb putt on me in any kind of a substantial wager game.

Glad you said that. That really pissed me off when he clapped for Rose's putt on 17.

I thought it was pretty cool. It was a great shot and it didn't really mattered that he clapped anyway. What difference did it make????

Look the US team had every opportunity to win the cup yesterday and flat out failed.

Doesn't matter the order, the lineup, the matchups, etc....we should have taken that damn thing back.

I mean, was there any better matchup than Rory and Keegan....and with Rory showing up right before his tee time Keegan had the best chance to whip his arse. Our team just flat collapsed on 17-18 match after match and it cost us the Ryder Cup

They play together all the time. When you play a ton of competitive golf, you appreciate a good shot, even if it beats you

I think you appreciate it, but clap in the moment? Yes, appreciate it when reflecting on it, but show some fricking competitvness and act like you want to win the thing.

It really doesn't matter in the grand scheme.

Exactly my thoughts. I know that is what the Ryder cup use to about but this is today's Ryder Cup wen players scream and make fist.

Phil should have just walked away nt even acknowledging the shot.

He's too classy to do that. I was applauding too when I saw it, scared the crap out of the dog.

So, with 20-20 hindsight, who should have been on the team in place of Stricker?

If DL3 wanted an old guy, David Toms is money in matchplay.

if anyone thinks Phil handed the loss to Rose, well you probably have never played a round of golf. Rose made to incredible shots two win the match. Phil didn't lose it, Rose just outright won it. Stricker on the other hand, well, he couldn't make a put to save his life, esp on 18. Why was he so far off the mark on 18 on the first putt? All in all, great Ryder Cup. Hats off to the Euros. Its JUST a game

Like I said it really didn't make a difference one way or the other. The thumbs up was even cooler.

Did you even watch what happened yesterday? The putt Stricker had wasn't going to be holed. Who cares how much he missed it by...he made the comebacker for par to actually save the match momentarily until Kaymer made the 6-7 footer for the win.

There are a bunch of men to blame for yesterday, but DL3 is far far down on that list. He didn't hit a shot all week, for the first two days people were calling him the best captain we've ever had. He planned to sit Phil and Keegan on Sat aft, and then he saw how well they played and went out to see if they wanted to go out again. Mick said NO. End of story. Blame Phil.
Tiger actually played pretty good when the pressure was on . His shots into the back 9 par 3's were vintage Tiger. You pair Tiger with who he feels most comfortable with. Tiger wanted Strick so DL3 gave him Strick. If you blame anyone for their 0-3 record, blame Stricker for being non-existant.
Furyk has always been a massive choke job. This was DL3 only mistake. He never should have picked him. I might have put Stricker and Furyk up 1st and second as sacrificial lambs, but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. They would have lost to anybody, because they choke.

In order of blame, it goes :
1a Stricker
1b Furyk
3 Mickelson
4 Snedeker
5 Tiger
6 Love

Phil gets more blame than Tiger?

No way, no how. The Euro's had 6 points had the end of Day 2. Three of those were at the hand's of Tiger.

If Furyk or Stricker had hit a putt on 18, then Wood 's miss on 18 would have been what sealed it 14-14 and allowed the Euros to keep the Cup...imagine that outcry!

I read somewhere that Furyk went 4-0 in the presidents' cup last year? Perhaps that was reason for DL's pick.

We are 2-7 in the last 9 Ryder cups. Eventually you land at the fact it hasn't mattered who the captain is. Euros are just a little better at the very top and have been for a while. As a whole, the PGA tour/American golf is stronger. Doesn't change the fact we choked it away yesterday. You should at least eek out 5 points with that line-up.

No way Phil gets more blame than Tiger. Phil didn't choke. Rose just went off....simple as that.
