They tried a league like that a few years ago. People cheered, walked to the first tee to music, represented cities, and they claimed it would be broadcast.

League absolutely bombed

Anyone but Stricker. I also thought it was a huge mistake not to put Bradley out there on Saturdaay afternoon. Even if Phil really wanted the time off, you could have put Bradley with Tiger or anyone else...they guy was rolling the first two days.

Love just did not impress me. Friend of the old guard...

can't imagine why!

who would watch a bunch of no-named slappys play golf representing Albany, GA vs. Chatanooga Tn?

Seriously dumb idea from a commercial persepective.

Bottom line is if there's a putt to win it for our country, the last players I'd want taking it are furyk and Stricker, they've proven that they are just not clutch...furyk in the US Open this year wasn't a fluke, and Stricker has never won a major..you could also tell Stricker was terrified of those putts on 17 and 18 yesterday by the amount of time he used looking at them, I bet he was hoping Kaymer left a gimme on 18 so he wouldn't have to mount that par putt

strickers first putt on 18 wasn't even in the zip code of the hole after spending 10 minutes looking at it.

I don't know what they were seeing. Duff completely misread the putt, too.

Yeah, cause he looked nervous when stepped up and drilled the par putt

I think it was Dufner before that who had the exact same putt and did almost the same thing. Can we not talk to our guys while they are playing?

Yea he drilled one that ended up not mattering while he missed a huge one that was shorter on 17 and 18 the previous day. Real Champion

You can also be terrified of a putt and still make the putt

..and for picking Furyk.

Both of them played in 8 matches total (4 each) and only managed 1 total point.

i might still be more mad about the sitting of Keegan and Phil, even if Phil wanted to rest. He should have played Keegan and Tiger together.

dumb frick love

Phil does not have that killer instinct. While I can appreciate his sportsmanship by applauding for his opponent, that is not the guy I want on my team.
