2001 Miami's argument as tGOAT is based almost entirely on the players they put in the NFL.
I always took the argument as 2001 Miami had the most loaded roster in the history of the sport, based on draft picks (especially first rounders) and NFL careers. I can certainly see arguments that their 2001 season was not the greatest season of all time.

My point was I don’t watch espn and they appeal to hands like yourself. You’re definitely making a case for Miami not to be number at this point you loser.

Dorsey is the QB coach for the Bills.

Thank you. Now we are getting somewhere. This is what blinds people perception to automatically give them the goat status.

They didn't even play the second best team in college football that year as Oregon got completely shafted and Florida lost a game (Tennessee) they shouldn't have.
All of this.

Don’t know why but I loved those Uniforms

Was the LSU comparison in the original post or added later?
This is a clown thread, bro.

2001 Miami Hurricane football team
They're certainly up there, but I think it's pretty easy to knock down their case for GOAT team. They had 2 games they were pretty darn lucky to win. They played an unranked very meh BC team, who was at the 9 yard line going in in the final seconds for the win.
When you compare that to teams who were never in serious jeopardy to lose a game in the 4th quarter over the entire season, much less THAT close to losing AND played much tougher competition, it's hard to argue Miami over a few other teams.

This.
No one really wants to hear this. They get defensive and start name calling.

Not reading the article, but I saw the 2000 Hurricane team with most of the same players as 2001 and it was basically a professional team. They were legit amazing on all fronts.
The 2001 team had Clinton Portis, Frank Gore, Willis McGahee, Najeh Davenport, Jeremy Shockey, Kellen Winslow III, Andre Johnson, Roscoe Parrish, Vernon Carey, Brett Romberg, Bryant McKinney, Mike Rumph, Antrel Rolle, Ed Reed, Jonathan Vilma, DJ Williams, Kelly Jennings, Sean Taylor, Phillip Buchanon, Vince Wilfork, William Joseph, Rocky McIntosh and Jerome McDougle.
That’s an insane amount of talent.

Which other player that year won awards?
That Hurricane team was fricking stacked on both sides of the ball. Like, really stacked. I'm staying out of the 'which team was better' argument but your your premise is deeply flawed.

Original post. The only clown part are your responses because you have zero. Sorry change our mind. You have yet to present anything that would remotely make a case for you.

No doubt both teams were.
2019 LSU had a better college football season and team then the Miami hurricanes in 2001. Change my mind.

You’re comparing stats from 2 completely different eras of football.
One team beat 4 top 5 teams (2 of them won the previous 4 NC’s). The other beat 1 top 10 team. You’re leaving out the whole argument.

The best part was I forgot who it was(maybe Bruce Feldman?) but someone was on Ryen Russillo's podcast about 1 month ago and said LSU was arguably the GOAT, and that dude graduated from the University of Miami, so I gladly made sure he knew about that

This again
No doubt they had talent but I just posted their stats and they are embarrassing compared to the LSU players stats in 2019.
Sean Taylor barley made any stats in 2001
Vince W was not even starting his freshman year and was a back up.

You can't compare 2001 college stats football to 2019 college football stats.
They are honestly different games.
