I wasn't watching yet but apparently the last couple of weeks of the regular season + conference title games was like a condensed version of 2007. Was there a lot of controversy over Nebraska getting back into the top 2 after they got blown out and didn't even play in the B12 title game?

I still routinely describe squidbilly couples in my stories as Junior and Lulu

Lots of controversy. The last few weeks were wild. The back to back games on 12/1 were nuts. Tennessee beats UF in a classic to knock the Gators out, setting up the B12 title on ABC where Texas just needed to beat Colorado. They’d already crushed them in the regular season. Chris Simms happened and chaos hit a peak.

Grossman should have won the Heisman.

Not as controversial as some other infamous seasons because I think it was understood that Miami was an all time team and would demolish whoever they played, however, it certainly was a clusterfrick after Colorado obliterated previously undefeated Nebraska

One of my favorite SportsCenter highlights (from when it was still worth watching) was when Colorado steamrolled Nebraska and ESPN had a little cartoon buffalo running across the screen.

Very very controversial… but none of it mattered, Miami was one of the GOATs

Fun fact. He is the only QB to have a 2-0 record at The Swamp.
