They swapped first round picks this year(actually moved up 13 spots) for a first. So, no they didn't give up but one first round pick.

And Penn is 35 coming off major foot surgery in which he still isn't cleared and won't be for another 2 months.

I don't see how. They had two 5's and two 6's. They fully effort to remain as competitive as they were last year so odds are next year's pick would be low. And maybe next year's crop isn't all that enticing for a late 1st round.

It's a gamble, not awful.

don't get how people don't understand they didn't give up 2 first round picks. Kept this year's, just moved up.

Idiots.

They used this year's first round and next year's first round to get him. You are pretty dumb.

How has Derwin James fallen this far?

Red flags on his physical?

I thought he was mega-overrated as a freshman, but should make a good SS.

I haven’t seen you posted but does anyone else think it a little bit insane to stand outside of the stadium for the draft? I sort of get standing Outside of the stadium for a game - barely but for the draft?

Seriously, he seriously has the potential to be the next best safety in the NFL. He's as good as Jalen Ramsey coming out, hits just as hard, and is bigger. Besides baker going first the Derwin James fall is the most surprising thing to me.
