That just tells you how far those in power will go to keep Kansas state down. Sad!

The best team doesn't lose to a 6-6 team at home.

The absolute disrespect for VOLS ITT. Yes we lost King Peyton but my god that team was loaded on both sides of the ball and had apparently built up equity amongst the football gods.

That team was not losing to anybody after finally getting over the hump against Gators

That team was losing to Arkansas until a miraculous fumble altered the course of the game's final 90 seconds.

We all just gonna ignore the fact that a military grade EMP costing millions was used to influence the outcome of college football?
how would an emp device of any sort affect a person's physical movement. As that moron in the video stated, it has the theoretical ability to destroy electrical/electronic circuits. Were those qbs made of electric circuits?

Personally I'm just convinced Tennessee sold their souls that year. They've had some decent seasons sprinkled in here or there but since 1998, maybe aside from that 01 season where they lost to LSU in the SEC CG, they were never really contenders again. I'd argue that '06 was the last "great" Tennessee team we've ever seen, and even that includes 07 when they made the SEC CG, they weren't that good. How they beat UGA as bad as they did that year will always be a mystery to me but that whole season was kind of a voodoo year anyway.

Their fall from grace as a CFB power was always more mysterious to me than even Nebraska. At least Tennessee is in pretty fertile recruiting grounds and has SEC prestige. I guess the rest of the conference caught up and they got lost in the shuffle? Idk where it all went wrong for UT

See now your asking the real questions. You see Burrow play last year?

Not really fertile recruiting ground. Back in their prime they were recruiting from all over the country. I think they had players from like 15 different states.

My lack of reading comprehension doesn't change the fact that Tennessee was an unworthy national champion and would have likely lost to Ohio State and a healthy Florida State. That's why we disrespect the '98 version of the Vols.

This is a terrible post.

They went 13-0...beat everyone on the schedule. I loved the Bucks that year, but they pissed away their chance against Sparty. The Noles has to use a backup QB. It happens.

I'd have to imagine their pipeline is better than Nebraska for instance. They're on the border of Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama and could probably dip into Florida. With the right national brand that they had they could have that luxury. Look at where Nebraska is at geographically, what is there to pull from?

So what? It was a down year. You faced Mississippi State in the SEC Championship Game for crying out loud.

The addition of four schools to DI (FCS) in the Dakotas has turned a lot of players away who would gladly have sat on the bench at Nebraska.

That has also contributed to the decline of Miami FSU UF. Now that teams can offer 85 in their back yard fully funded some walking are getting schollies. Lessening scout teams depth etc. you’re only as good as your scout team

A&M played some very good teams that season including FSU, but the Buckeyes were the toughest opponent.
