I 'member this as vividly as 9/11, and I'm not joking.

I watched it happen at Plucker's before they even had the bar side. I think I was watching an LSU game on one screen and then saw the chaos on the adjoining TV. It's weird that I remember where I was when I saw it, and that I saw it live.

Before anyone asks, yes it has been that long.

It was pretty much an obscure Friday night game on ESPN if I recall correctly.

Ron Artest would be hailed a hero in today's NBA.

Everyone seems to have their own "man I saw that live" story when in all reality they probably didn't. It was a blowout of a game late on a Friday night in November. The season was early. Let's be real. Not everyone saw this one live. It's ok.
Pretty much

It's true. I caught it part of the way through the brawl, walking in from work and my brother was watching it (he liked Wallace and Co.).
If I remember correctly Reggie Miller also caught a suspension for not doing jack shite but being there.
Grantland's oral history was pretty good.

I still think my favorite anecdote is that David stern found out about this while he was in his pjs making a pb&j sandwich

His reaction when he saw the footage

Back when the NBA was a man’s league and players weren’t making fake accounts to defend themselves from meanies on the internet and trying to make walking into the arena a red carpet fashion show.

How about those poor saps who decided to leave early to beat traffic and missed out on this spectacle.
Posted on 11/19/20 at 2:49 pm to bad93ex
I would not have wanted to be anywhere near that shite show

If Ron Artest just doesn't lay down on the scorers table NONE of this would have happen.....

Strangely, I saw this live after tuning in to the last few minutes after flipping channels.
