They probably have to pay to air the Finebaum show and are getting little return for it, since they already pay for ESPN programming it's likely cheaper just to air whatever is on in that slot

I just wanted to comment on the hilarious fact that to this point there hasn't been a single down vote. 
With all the disagreements on this board the one thing we're unanimous on is our hatred of Paul.

The Gary thing went overboard weeks ago, and they are still drilling it. Yesterday it was real bad. Heard about it in the morning, on my way to lunch, and when leaving work. I guess they win though because I listened every time I got in the car

I used to try to listen to his old show on his old network (I'm talking 2009 and 2010) and it was unbelievable how little he knew of SEC football outside of Bama, Auburn and partially Tennessee. I'd argue that he only slightly knows about Tennessee due to the fact that he went there and because of the TSIO rivalry.
Other than that, the guy has absolutely no clue about any school outside of those three, and no grasp whatsoever of non-football sports. However, like someone said, SEC fans as a collective aren't as easily trollable as Alabamans.
