Montana isn’t Top 10.
Brees should be in the Top 5.
In general, it’s a mostly accurate list.

With respect to his peers, Montana's best 5 years are better than anyone in NFL history.

Montana wasn’t even the best QB on his own team half the time he was with the Niners.

I know his career was short, but 33 feels very low for Kurt Warner

Broke dick Brees is incredibly overrated by NOLAians.
Also, John Elway is the GOAT

I'm not a Saints fan, so I have no dog in this fight, but to call a QB who is only a season or two away from breaking the all-time career passing yards record, "overrated" wreaks of homerism.

John Elway is WAY to low... As is Staubach............ BOTH were better than Tark.... way better..............

Brees has never been the best QB during his time either, but you want him in the top 5? But since Montana was never the best during his, he isn’t top 10?

Wut?
This thread is Prime Example A of "recency bias" and "last thing I saw is the greatest thing ever."
Regardless of taking into consideration the era QBs are playing in today and all the advantages they have.
We have to seriously set a B.C.E. and A.D. line to differentiate between what you can compare and what you can't compare. Because this is just stupidity.
frick, Joe and Dan would love to play now and be protected prima donnas flag-football 7-on-7 receivers running free right off the line of scrimmage ERA.
Because Joe goes from the GOAT in the 90's from ALL pundits who write about Pro Football and the HOF committee to somebody who can't hold Jay Cutler's jock strap because EVERY QB in this era is in the top 15 of passing yards and rating.
Joey Harrington come on down.
B.C.E. (1960-1998)
A.D. (1998-Present)
He's the greatest Super Bowl QB of all-time - nobody touches him in his stat line and wins.

Kurt Warner lost his job on 3 different teams to 2 rookies (Eli & Leinart) & Marc bulger, all at a time in his career that should be a QBs prime.

Haha of course Steve Young would be ranked higher than Favre like I argued last summer not only a better QB than Favre the best QB of the 90s: more accurate than Favre, more efficient than Favre, obviously less mistake-prone than Favre, better TD/INT ratio and possesses an effective mobility attribute that renders him a double threat SUCK A DICK BITCHES

Since he joined the Saints in 06 up until bounty gate around 12, no other QB in the entire nfl had more wins than Brees. And that’s in the manning Brady era.. and that’s often with no defense and hardly many superstars. It’s also taking a three win team straight to the NFC championship in year one with them.
He is so incredibly consistent. I remember doing research on the top quarterbacks stats over the past five years (this was two years ago) and he’s often #1 and #2 in many of those stats.. including a couple of top percentage completion records.
I often wonder just how good Brady would be outside of New England. Or taking over such a team. At least with Brees you already know. I have a high feeling Brees would have won as many super bowls on those patriot teams..
Any ways, I’ve seen videos from non saints fans talking about him being the best quarterback in today’s era from a statistical point. I’m not sure if he’s top 5 all time, but he’s certainly deserving of top 10. I feel like Brees is almost under valued and Rodgers may be slightly over-rated.
These are just opinions though. I’m not claiming anything.

The accuracy of Joe Montana during his prime was practically a work of art like he slayed bitches on the football field this notion this argument was never illustrated better than his performance in the 1989 playoffs, I believe he completed 78% of his passes and threw all TDs no INTs just scintillating his mastery of the West Coast Offense man fricking lethal
