When Brees break’s Peyton’s all time record this year and wins the super bowl, he’ll shoot up this list.

Football rankings are funny. You’d have to go full retard to take Otto over Rodgers and I’m a Browns fan

For whatever reason all the “rules favoring offense” arguments and stat padding seem to go out the window when talking about Manning. He was basically Trent Dilfer for one of his Super Bowl wins and his team beat Rex Grossman for the other one. He chocked on the biggest stage when it counted most and many other times in the playoffs and yet gets rated above Brady and Montana who came up clutch many times in the same situation. fricking comical.

16. Aaron Rodgers

Bout 12-15 spots too low.

What Michael Vick was with his legs is what Aaron Rodgers is with his arm. No other player on the list, except maybe Marino, has been as consistently let down in the playoffs by his defense.

Manning at 1 is a joke. Greatest regular season QB, maybe. Couldn't out-talent or out-scheme the best defenses he saw in the playoffs.

Aaron Rodgers at 16 is retarded. His best is the best we've ever seen from the position.

Because he was a 4x MVP/2x MVP runner ups before the rules favored the offense.

Troy Aikman too low. 3 SB’s in only 12 seasons.

at 29? he's waaaaaaaaay too high if anything. Warner Gannon Vick Romo Ryan Gabriel Theisman McNair Anderson and several others are clearly better

Peyton Manning got his first MVP award in 2003....right around the time the rules started favoring the offense.

The league average passing stats from 03 are not significantly different than 93 or 83 for that matter. The real passing explosion was around 2010/11

Did this writer take into account the defenses they used to play against and the rules changes? How well would a 5'11" and immobile Drew Breed would have done against the Steelers, Cowboys, and Vikings defenses of the 70s? He would have been killed, but instead he now drops back and puts up video game numbers knowing that if a DE sneezes on him there will be a 15 yards penalty!

Not much disagreement with the no. 1 selection but I would’ve selected Unitas, Marino, Rodgers, Elway, Baugh, Staubach, etc. Of all those, I’d err to Unitas because of how influential, talented, and productive he was as QB in an era when QBs primarily called their own plays, the Golden Arm was valedictorian of that group.
