KenPom had NMSU as the highest rated 15 seed in years.
And they have size.
Bill Self just is a a much better coach than NMSU's guy (of course). His doubling in the first half kept this from being a game, as NMSU played them about even the first 10 minutes of the second half.

Everyone hates us this year for whatever reason. I don't care but it's true. The national bracket on espn has like 68% picking notre dame over Kansas which is crazy.
9 points is easy money though. 14 or so makes more sense to me.
Eta: it's also true that NMSU measured well with most metrics and was considered a tougher match up than all the 14 seeds and even some 13 seeds if I recall.
