so in theory why wouldn't they start with LCP this morning, knowing that a shite storm is coming?

Sorry if already discussed but why are they going off 11 and not 10? Weather related or proximity to clubhouse?

10 tee is far from the clubhouse. I don't know how you manage groups going off like that though. Seems like there would be a backlog on #1 once the guys that started on 11 start getting there

because there is a large gap in tee times they the second grouping of players will go off all on 1

The weather is very fast moving and looks like it could be out of the area in a hour or two. I dont see anything behind it as well.

The question is, what kind of condition will it leave the course in and how long, if possible, will it take to get it ready for play.

Maybe hope they get it ready in an hour and hope the sun comes out to help the drying process

I think the last thing the players would want is to play a soaking wet course with the sun out. About as miserable as it gets

Ive done stuff like this before. one of the worst things is that its so wet that your feet set into the greens and make indentions. so you have to dry it as best as possible before really getting after it with those squigees

The USGA doesn't believe in lift, clean, and place. You won't see it this week no matter how wet it gets.
