It’s a little speck of red in a sea of blue in the Northeast

My house was assessed by the county at about $390k si I'm assuming it's actually worth closer to $450k. It's nothing special.

I live in the 49th largest city in the US.

$400k would buy you nearly anything you could want/need for a middle-upper middle class family in the best parts of town. That's 3000 sq ft and less than 20 years old.

Ha that’s pretty much my hood.
Yeah it’s still amazing how a lot goes for almost $300k on the north side of Veterans. More close to the lake.

I just want to be able to build a house like Pat Swilling is on the lake and have it paid off. LOL

Yeah. I don’t get New Orleans housing.

I understand Nashville, Dallas, Austin and such that have increasing number of white collar jobs. But I don’t know of those kinda of opportunities in NOLA?

Am I the only person hoping for an 08 or worse?

Just isn't gonna happen because most today have low interest rates. This isn't 08 when a lot of people were upside down in adjustable rate mortgages. Plus there is a supply issue. There just aren't enough houses to satisfy all the buyers.

I mentioned the inventory issue in another real estate thread, but received a good amount of downvotes

Maybe some on here don’t see an inventory issue?
