VOO and VTI are both excellent choices, but they are ETFs. They are traded differently than mutual funds.

You are technically correct.
VFIAX and VTSAX if you must use mutual funds, as they have identical structure as voo and vti. The ETFs have slightly lower fees

FTEC. That is all for me for the foreseeable future. Once I get closer to retirement I may move some into VOO or VTI, but the broad market is not experiencing gains at the same level as concentrated tech stocks since the internet and now A.I.

FXAIX is my go to mutual fund.
There are ETF that I prefer over it, but if you're locked in on a mutual fund, that's where I land.

Likely won’t experience similar losses in a correction, either.
