With what we have coming to us on the horizon (inflation, hyperinflation etc) What would be some options for investing? I have too much worthless fiat on hand sitting in the bank about $75,000. Here are my current allocations:

401k - I put in 15% and my company matches 6% I am in a 'Target' fund that I want to get out of (bond allocation is too high in my opinion)

Roth IRA - I max it out every year and right now am 50% FXAIX and 50% FSMAX

HSA - my company contributes $1,000 every January I have not maxed this out for 2020 or 2021 I still have time to do this.

Crypto - I have been buying the dips on BTC since February. Also am in ADA & LINK.

Brokerage Account - I have not opened one up yet but would like to do so. Thoughts on what to buy? I have considered TSLA, AAPL, or AMZN or would it be better to just buy more index funds?

I have zero debt. What are some things I could do with this $75k to get it growing? Not interested in rental properties.

Right now crypto seems to be the way.

Eta The consensus seems to be for the next few months at least.

Nowhere will be safe. Hopefully you can find a chair when the music stops.

So where are you getting cash flow right now from investments? Tax breaks?

Not interested in rentals? Ignorant.

Target fund? Lulz. I’ve posted many times about to cons of those. Look it up. This shows me you are not putting in the work and educating yourself on investing.

I have a list I can give you of nice paying dividend ETFs and stocks but if you only want growth there are plenty to choose from. Do your research.

Yeah if he’s only looking for growth now pick an index fund and good luck. I bought a ton of DIA after crash last March and rose it back up. Coulda done same with SPY.

Not for everyone bro. I am very happy I sold off most of my portfolio. If we have a crash I will be running back in.

OP - Buy another Bitcoin.

I'm well aware of the downsides of target funds hence why I am trying to get out of it and get into something else my company plan offers. No need to be a dick.

Don't care about dealing with the headaches. Sorry.

What's your family situation? Do you have kids where a 529 plan might make sense?

1-Max HSA
2-Bitcoin
3-Find some useful to spend it on such as renovations you've been meaning to do

Yep. Home improvement upgrades that will add value (and enjoyment) would be a good place to start

I'd wait 3-4 months to see what happens. We are at all-time highs now.

We've been at all time highs for a while now other than the big pull back at the beginning of the pandemic

I do think that you're correct though. I'd expect a big buying opportunity within the next 6-8 months if not the more proximate 3-4 months that you suggested.

I am thinking this might be the right play.

If he’s young and looking for growth you dont really have to have cash flow. All that does is cause a taxable event. Put it all in FZROX and let it ride. Don’t need any fancy investment vehicles.

this. I would say for #2 though maybe hit up some other promising alts liek GRT, DOT, BNB etc so to be diversified.

except #3, dont do that right now, prices sky high. if first 2 are a no go, take a vacation and put the rest in the market for long term approach.
