Turbotax 2019 CD (windows 10 version) problems?

I've used Turbotax for years with great results but I'm seeing many complaints from users of Turbotax 2019. Many are complaining about problems with the activation code not working correctly making the software unusable. Intuit seems to downplay the complaints in their online responses offering solutions that don't work.
Has anybody used TT 2019 CD for Windows 10 with success? If the problems aren't fixed (I think Rev 13 is the most recent) I may have to use different software. Any advice appreciated.
Sorry if this is the wrong forum.

I have her more problems with Windows 10 than any other operating system ever. It seems like most programs have problems with it. I hate it .

Why the CD instead of online? Security?

I didn't know they still had software on a CD. Can you try uninstalling and download from the internet and using the key?

I haven't bought it yet and I'm looking for feedback advice from someone who has.

I didn’t know they had a CD or download version still. I’ve used the web based online version for 10 years or so now.

I downloaded it and haven’t had any problems. I haven’t done much since I don’t have my W-2 yet, but it imported last year just fine.

Not the CD but downloaded, installed, activated and updated it with no issues.
My son got his W2 so I started doing his taxes. Waiting on a couple of 1099's before I can file.
Also downloaded TT 2019 Business but haven't even started with that one yet. All I've done is install it.

You’re using old, propriety software, aren’t you?

I've always bought the CD's at Sam's, office depot, etc.
Once installed it updates. I would like to buy it again but many users seem to be having problems with the new activation code system that makes the program unusable. If it works for people here I will buy it (TT 2019) again. Maybe Intuit has revised the software to fix the problem.
Their customer support is too lousy to find out. I'm just looking for feedback.
Thanks!

I always buy the cd. Me and a couple of friends at work split the cost

The Premier CD loaded fine for me on Windows 7 ( with a warning that 7 won’t work next year). Haven’t started uploading data yet but it seemed to update just fine.
I like to file the CD with a paper copy of my return.

Why not use the online version?

I agree with this. Any program or app or website running on Win 10 is problematic.

I got the TT CD at Sam's. Have not had any problem with it. I use TT Deluxe.
It transferred 2018's info into 2019; no problems. I have entered expense data but no income data yet other than SS income. I guess the test will come when the financial companies data are available for download.
I buy the CD, rather than a download, because I like having it.
Edit: I have Windows 10.

You can file with TurboTax Free Edition if you have a simple tax return.*
*A simple tax return is Form 1040 only, without schedules 1,2, or 3.
Simple tax situations covered in TurboTax Free Edition include:
W-2 income
Limited interest and dividend income reported on a 1099-INT or 1099-DIV
Claiming the standard deduction
Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC)
Child tax credits
My taxes are not complicated but they are not this simple.
I would have to pay for the online version anyway and I like to have the CD so I can reinstall it if necesssry.
What am I not understanding about TT online?
