Bought all day yesterday. Have orders in place to buy more if it continues downward, which is very possible.

J.P. Morgan cuts estimates on Tesla: plenty of further downside potential.

I'm a buyer at $160 for sure. I also have a feeling that I will not be able to resist at $170.

My finance knowledge is not on the average MT level, but on a consumer level, if I'm in the market for an EV and Tesla was an option, I wouldn't even consider something Chinese built. I would think one of the other more established car manufacturers would be an option before anything chinese related.

This is referring to buyers IN China. Not in the U.S. or Europe. Tesla sells a lot of cars in China.

I went ahead and dipped my tow in at $183. I know I should be more patient and wait for prices to come down, but I wanted to grab a few share last week just in case that was the buying opportunity.

It appears that Tesla chargers may become the EV industry standard.

Thought they already were or at the very least that the wheels were officially in motion for this

I know 9 different auto companies are going to be adapting to their charging infrastructure moving forward.

Tesla makes a good product, but overall EVs aren't where they need to be for mass adoption. The tech has been over-hyped with its best potential numbers being taken as a concrete average. The industry has downplayed the drag on performance from things like cold weather and carrying heavy loads, the tech has nearly become synonymous with waiting for a spot to charge and there's always the looming specter of the cost of having to place batteries.

All of this means that the "new" is wearing off and the tech is moving into a niche category. Until/Unless they can get drive distances up (especially in cold weather) and charge times down, ICE vehicles will remain dominant.

Using some broad language here that I think needs some more specifics. What is “mass adoption” and “dominant” market share in your view?

What are the market sizes that require capabilities to pull “heavy loads”?

Source on “synonymous with waiting for a spot to charge”?

Your post reads more like the EV solutions today don’t meet your needs; therefore, the product is a failure.
