SS was sold to the public as a retirement plan for decades so politicians don't want to pee on that third rail. Also, SS benefits are taxed as regular income after a pretty low threshold which is a defacto means test.
Add to that an ROI that if it was a private retirement fund, the managers would be in jail. Come next major market correction, the "Trust Fund" should become a public regulated private fund out of the reach of politicians and pumped into the stock market. That 2% return for decades when inflation has averaged 4% is thievery.

It's a great company that really everyone should own to some extent. Everyone needs exposure in cybersecurity and in my mind they are best of the best.
Will be very interesting to see how red or green it goes today. It's looking like a pretty red day for tech, if it could stay flat I would really like it in the short term. Otherwise like everything else it will probably fall to lower levels
