Many of the stocks mentioned in this thread sold off hard in both Aug and Oct/Nov -- right at the tail end of earnings just like this. The good ones will bounce back again.

Yeah they’ll be back. Just hold on. Don’t log in and look at it every hour. It will drive you crazy

PANW may be a safe place to hide some profits for awhile. Looking like they’ve weathered this storm pretty well.

Diversifying today. Looking to add HBI, ABBV, BAC, and MGM for long term holds.

Added some funds...just too tech heavy for my liking

They are saying negligible impact from the event which I refuse to believe BC they increased their dividend. Currently debating whether to hold through to the dividend date or sell. I am thinking hold, grab the dividend and see what the next quarter looks like. They may not want to publicly come out with how well they did this close to the event given the overall sentiment. The financial impact would technically not hit until q1 anyways

In positive news at least dkng had a nice quarter

APPS up 16% on the day

quote:

Digital Turbine ( APPS ) said Friday it has agreed to acquire mobile advertising platform AdColony Holding AS from Norway-based Otello Corporation ASA for a total estimated price of $350 million to $375 million.

Under the terms of the deal, $100 million will be paid in cash at closing, subject to purchase price adjustments; $100 million will be paid in cash six months after closing, and an estimated earn-out cash payment of $150 million to $175 million will be made based on AdColony achieving certain future targets.

ETA: shite, just saw the post above on the purchase. I'm moving slow this Friday.

I'd say yes.

Long term play but there will be some short term gains there.

What do we think about SQ? Dropped big after earnings.

It'll be fine.

I pulled some profits and placd in Etsy as well as back into FSLY.

SQ will be fine long term. I'm still bullish on it. I just reduced my holdings by a third and reinvested in two others. Still holding 75% of my original position

SQ also ran hard pre-earnings -- 35+% in two weeks iirc. It was already due for a pullback and just pulled back hard with the rest of tech. It'll be fine.
