Space X IPO, what are we doing? Baron interview worth the listen

Baron is the biggest Elon believer of all time.
I did some research and you can buy one of his mutual funds - BPTRX- and it has approximately 30% of its holdings in SPACE X Private shares already.
Buying his mutual fund may be a play here rather than buying Space X n IPO day or soon thereafter.

Sounds like he is pumping the stock in it's fund.
I don't see much path to near term profitability. With the massive size of the IPO offering, I see a lot of downside after the wave of initial buyers thin out.
I agree with morning star.
Yahoo finance
I think the IPO pops up and then it's starts the slow slide downward to a more realistic valuations. But I think it will be slow downward and not violent. Tesla shares may be under more pressure as investors cycle out of it into space x. As most remaining Tesla investors are there for the AI play, which is clearly moving to space X.

Morningstar initiated coverage of SpaceX with a fair-value estimate of just $780 billion, less than half the roughly $1.8 trillion valuation the company is targeting in its initial public offering.

It doesn’t seem to be realistically profitable for a long, long time.

Serious question but do most IPOs operate like this once public? I imagine it's because the investors while it was private want to take profits and let the public hold the bag

Like most huge IPOs, this will likely be a major flop. I’m also perfectly fine missing out if not

With the new fast listing rules that were just put into play on May 1 this thing could ripple the entire market as a huge black hole wealth transfer.

People said the same about Amazon back in the day. It didn’t matter as far as the stock.

Amazon had massive revenues though and didn't start at a massive market cap. It was grown over time as revenue grew.
Space X is valuation is based on 18B on revenue last year, about the same as auto zone
Before everyone blasts me, I know stock price is based on future growth. But I'm this case hard to see a scenario where it grows into the current valuation even with the almost extreme bull case

Are Tesla shareholders going to get warrants to buy SpaceX? I heard about this a while ago but nothing recently
