I have been watching it hover near $4.00. Any value there if I can get it that low. Currently at $4.08

Do you think it has a good outlook for the future? Do you think their business model translates well to our future economical prospects?

I think there are much better options that have value. Ford's outlook wasn't that great before all this CV started. Many other stocks will rebound while Ford will continue to struggle.

Who knows. Their CEO is retiring. Too many employees vs GM.

I think the future of cars comes down to who can make an economical Electric Vehicle for the masses that can recharge quickly. People will buy electric if it makes economic sense and the world trend is we are going that way.

Ford Will Pay Millions to Fiesta, Focus Owners Over Faulty Automatic Transmissions
The Blue Oval is set to repurchase thousands of affected vehicles following a class-action settlement.

LINK

“ According to what consumers have explained to lawyers, most of these buybacks ranged from $15,000 to $22,000. Combined with warranty repairs and replacements, Ford wrote in its 2016 internal report that spending related to its Powershift transmission woes "could reach $3 billion."”

I’m thinking I wouldn’t buy it with your money.

A lot of c-suites that spent the last five years at the roulette wheel are going to be learning the meaning of Chapter 11.

Someone asked this same question a couple of weeks ago and said that it was "on sale" at $5. Someone else had a buy thesis based on, "well, they won't go out of business." Good reasons to buy a stock?

I owned F for years after the Great Recession. I made some money and collected a decent div. as it ran up to $14 or something like that. Then it started sliding downward... as people were buying cars hand over fist. So I sold it somewhere around the mid 9s. I have no intention of buying it back. In fact, I wish that I'd shorted it.

I'm not trying to talk you out of (or into) buying, selling or holding. I have no idea what this (or any other) stock is going to do. I just know that there are better stocks to put your money in than this one - and having had a loose connection to the company in the past and being a big fan of Henry Ford, I'd love to see this iconic American company come back strong. But that's emotion talking from my heart. My (investing) head still says that this is a dog that hasn't hunted, and won't hunt anytime soon.

Just my 2 cents.

Ford is a one product company. Obviously lower gas prices and low interest rates should help. People held Ford since the yield was so high... Now it zero.

Since they basically sell zero cheap cars, and all of their money comes from F150 sales. Are you confident they continue to sell?

Do you think the Bronco will help their sales that much?

I’m no expert but I personally look at a companies debt load in times like these.

It’s a reason that T is getting slammed in my opinion

The Ford Mustang Mach E electric crossover is their last hope. If that car doesn't land well and put up some kind of a fight against the Tesla Model Y even with the power of the Mustang brand behind it, they are done.

Full disclosure: I have a reservation for one.

Ford's problem is a lot bigger than this virus. They lack leadership and thus direction. They have lost so much car designing and building talent that they are a shell of what that company was. As long as 1) the Ford family controls the voting thru their preferred stock and 2) Little Billy Ford is still Chairmen, Ford Motor company will not focus on building great vehicles that Americans want to buy. Without the Ford consumer they are nothing.
