i recently switched jobs and would like to do something with my existing 401k. It seems like their are better options to roll it over to a IRA. Any EFT funds you recommend I look into? I will use Fidelity to manage the IRA for now.

thanks for the help.

With zero context about your goals, risk profile, timeline to retirement etc how do you expect to get meaningful advice?

Generally I like low cost broad market index funds but that may not be for you. VOO (S&P 500) and VTI (Total Market) come to mind. No need for both because VTI is heavy in same stocks as VOO with a bit of mid and small companies added in.

I still have 25 years before retirement, I can tolerate some risk right now, hell just look at last year. I do not plan to touch until retirement.

which EFT?
I assume you mean ETF, as in Exchange Traded Fund.

If so, SPY tracks the S&P500 Index and is a popular ETF which has been around for several decades.

What makes you sure you should not leave it where it is?

I'm very new to this, but VOO, IVV, SPY vs FXAIX.

These are all pretty equivalent, correct? Any big reason to hold more than one of these? Or switch from one to another?

Thanks.

VOO/VTI/QQQ for growth

JEPI/SCHD/SPHD for value and dividends

Oddly enough I just received a recommendation from Fidelity mentioning IVV

Allocation depends on your age and goals but more heavy in VOO. IMO

Very similar. Some differences in dividends and whether they automatically re-invest the dividend.

K thanks. Most of my 401k and IRA funds are in FXAIX. I looked into them today and didn't see a big reason to change anything to another mentioned.

Very low fees and similar returns and I have dividends set to reinvest automatically.

Interested in this thread too. About eat a small surrender fee <$3000 on a variable annuity (I know, I am a sucker) into a Fidelity IRA. About a 200k balance. Have a couple other 401ks for wife and I through a company I own that we max, but this 200k is about half our retirement. Those funds also good for a growth minded 38 yo who can be aggressive?
