It's often times a thankless journey to do such things.

You might make the right call a bit too early and find yourself surrounded by impatient types that dog you for not giving them a 2 bagger immediately.

You will be wrong on occasion and the haters will surely come out of the woodwork when that happens.

Hell, you could be spot on and then they'll just expect you to be that precise every single time.

I see you though.

It takes doing it. And often, messing up. But options are a powerful tool.

I received over $10,000 in premium a few days ago for putting 100 shares of NBIS and 500 shares of OUST up for sale.

That's option selling, which is part of the wheel strategy.

I picked up $8k in premium on NBIS CC $270 expiring this Friday. Enjoyed getting the $8k but hoping not to have to pony up shares day after tomorrow as the stock is dancing around $270 now!

Looked like easy money just weeks ago.

How do you handle the income tax burden on this?

I'm in the same club by trying to share what I do. Many crap on it or just aren't interested. I thought they might be interested in how a normal white collar guy retired early with more than most, but not really. Only my family has allowed me to help them and they're quite happy.

You guys should get together and offer a couple of zoom classes for us baws that may be interested to see if it's a fit for some of us.

Well the contracts don't expire until January of next year. So in 2028 I'll prbably sell a sliver of the underlying stock to cover the roughly 2k in taxes or whatever it will be.

I'm thinking of doing this every 6 months or so for ~20k per year in premium.

At this point I just refer people to the website. If they have questions they can ask.

I do Jason Kelly's 9Sig and Income Sig plans. The CAGR of 9Sig is 40.4%. Since I retired, Income Sig has provided me with a baseline of 9% in income of invested assets and has grown significantly while doing it. There are no guarantees in life, but sticking with it has paid off.

Y’all gotta ease up with the whole “retirement” thing because nobody under 40 will ever be able to retire

Other than my pension, why do you think I buy NBIS?? It's a retirement plan.

Just want to second the OP.

I am very much a small fish in this pond compared to most others here so don’t laugh at me when I brag here for just a second….

I just crossed the $50k milestone in my brokerage account! Which is huge for me.

I invested a bit back in Covid and made a little bit here and there. But didn’t keep up with it like I do now. Unfortunately, a divorce a few years later wiped out all my liquid funds.

I decided to start getting back into the market at the end of 2024. That’s when I found the NBIS thread. BB’s due diligence and conviction led me to get in around $30. I’ve invested as much as I could the last year and a half. Had another set back at the end of last summer that set my brokerage back down to about an $8k balance and only about 70 shares. Since then I’ve gotten back to my original number of shares, diversified into more companies (OUST being my second biggest holding), and recently sold my first cash covered put and 2 covered calls.

I just wanted to share my journey for anyone out there that’s only got a few grand to play with. BB, Jax, and several others in here are invaluable and have made a lot of us a lot of money. And I am eternally grateful for all their insights and DD they put into this board. I’ve learned so much from all of you and hope to keep growing my account year over year until I can be a money board baller like the rest of you.

Aug 1, 2025: $8k
Jan 1, 2026: $13k
April 1, 2026: $20k
June 17, 2026: $50k!

dude, take a lap, and a course in relaxation.

Just discuss what you want. If it proves to be valuable or at least entertaining, people will engage.

I’ve learned a lot here, mainly to be way more patient.
