Sold $70 January calls in brokerage.
Collected $1,085 per contract!

That’s a whopping 23.6% in premium to sell for a 52.2% gain in commons.

I hope this doesn’t end in tears

Boston Dynamics putting Ouster products on their robots seems like great validation…

I'm not concerned, but it wouldn't shock me if they issued another secondary or ATM.

I would buy more or go long calls if the stock dropped 15-20% on the news.

There aren't many shares outstanding for a company of its size.
Just over 60 million.
For this to become a 10-15bn dollar company in 3-5 years they may need to issue 20 million more, and that's still a very healthy number of shares. It would still be quite low.
It all depends on how fast they choose to scale, which isn't negative in my view. Just look at NBIS.

10bn market cap at 80m shares is still $125 per share.
~20 million shares / 30% dilution even at $45 per share would yield them 900 million dollars. So they wouldn't come close to diluting that much at those levels. There's simply no need to have that much cash.

No, I'm not really concerned.
Especially since I think they'll be cash flow positive next year. If they dilute, I'd like to see them leverage convertible notes like NBIS. Can probably get a great rate and a fantastic 2032 strike price, which is bullish.

Further explanation, and a good way to frame it:

ASP = Average Selling Price per Unit, whether sensors or cameras.
How many can they ship in 2026?
50-60k?
That would be over 100% increase YoY.
I think OUST will come near the upper range of 30-50% revenue growth, if not this year, definietly next.

Claude thinks I'm rushing the 10bn valuation to happen in 2027-28. In reality, this is a 2030 or so valuation, and I'm ok with that.

Already was mentioned earlier, but this could be a major catalyst - Micron has been on a tear and if OUST catches any tailwind from MU, that could be pretty awesome for investors.

Yet another mining company needs Ouster, specifically Rev8!

Correction, this is an expansion as it reads like they were already a customer:

quote:

The agreement marks a commercial expansion of a multi-year collaboration between the two companies. As AIM scales the deployment of its field-proven autonomy kits to deliver on key customer contracts and meet growing market demand, the strategic agreement guarantees a high-volume supply of Ouster’s high-resolution digital lidar sensors.

Building upon this commercial momentum, AIM plans to integrate Ouster’s new Rev8 native color digital lidar into the AIM AI platform to further advance the perception capabilities of its next-generation automated machinery with precise 3D structural data, color point clouds, and industrial-grade imagery to safely accelerate autonomous operations in the complex, unstructured environments.

For AIM, the benefits of Rev8 translate to faster edge-computing, streamlined sensor fusion, and significantly enhanced safety and object-classification capabilities in real-time, high-dust industrial workflows.

I like how Rev8 is going into lots of things already. I’m holding this one still, only sold a few shares.

I am still a few hundred shares short of where I want to be. Am doing cash covered puts to try to buy. I have a $42 and $40.5 put that expires tomorrow and it looks like I will enjoy the premium but would not mind if they were assigned. Would like to do a couple Jan 27 CC's for the premium and if it is called still have enough shares left to not be concerned. Please let me know your thoughts on weekly puts for 6/26.

They seem to have more action.
