Market got a bit overheated and this is a good reason to sell. Much bigger events later in the week like earnings and FOMC

NVDA is trading at 135 right now.
Down nearly 5% from Friday’s close.

What kind of stocks should be affected by this other than the known AI tech ones like NVDA, Apple, etc? Ones like UI?

Bitcoin should react to this how? MSTR?

Deepseek hasn’t been updated, or I’m using a different version bc it still thinks Joe Biden is president.

Sold my small stake in ASML last friday. Judging by this mornings futures glad i did. Wasnt planning on jumping back in for a while but low 600's on this one will be a hard one not to get back in on.

I'm just trying to learn here, but is the Deepseek group using different set of chips? As I understand it they took some of their bitcoin mining computers and put them towards the Deepseek project. So wouldn't that most likely still be using Nvidia gpu's?

This would seem more of an attack on the software side of things than the hardware.

No they used nvda chips still. H800s; but it was a joke of an allocation of compute compared to what we are doing in the usa and they got similar results.

The implications isn't that nvda isn't the leader, its that there might not be anywhere close the demand projected over last year.

If this is sw running on old nvidia gpus then the next step is to port Deepstate to modern nvidia gpus. That will allow for even bigger models to run than currently possible.

Seems like the demand for hw won't go away.

I think they are full of shite. I will gladly buy up our tech stocks as they dive. China is a-hole. Never forget that.

It’s been relentlessly repeated over the last few days that it hasnt been updated to current event/info since middle of last year. Doesn’t change anything about the model

Is there any compelling evidence to support this being true? Smells like cold fusion claims that inevitably get debunked. Why would a Chinese backed co reveal this if they had it? Is the hypothetical objective to crash US stocks? Just seems fishy to me but I havent read up on it. Where should I start?

Ive seen quite a bit of non partisan speculation that they waited till Trump took office to release the model. Seems plausible to me. Particularly throwing in the hilarious $6M number. They may as well said they developed it for a couple grand
