Anyone who watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer knows there’s always another Apocalypse. Don’t freak out.

I like the posters that just had to post about going “all cash” months ago in anticipation of the crash. lol.

Now it’s being reported that over 75% of the companies in the S&P 500 reported better than expected earnings in the last qtr. that is excellent news.

Me, too. The hard part about going to all cash is knowing when to get back in the market.

When someone posts they're going to all cash I usually ask them to let us know when they get back into the stock market.

So far not a single one of them has ever done that.

My favorite posts are the ones that begin with, ”I know I shouldn’t try to time the market… but___”

I went all cash 3 weeks ago and now I have to pay 38,000 in taxes between now and next April.

Two comments (which you likely already know but just in case...):
1) If any of your gains were long-term capital gains, you get a lower tax rate on those gains, not ordinary income rates.

2) If you don't pay estimated taxes by the next due date, September 15, you might find yourself owing interest and penalties on the unpaid taxes if you wait until April to pay.
