From what I am seeing, Kraken is a preferred platform for XRP. Someone might chime in with a better alternative though..

I'm reading some news could be announced about XRP and Amazon/Uber/AirBnB coming Friday. Could just be rumor but some interesting things are happening with XRP right now.

I have found Poloniex has been the easiest for me. I have some smaller amounts on others (just signed up for BitStamp) but mostly using Poloniex and don't have any complaints.

I buy bitcoin through coinbase and then send to Poloniex. Then you can trade on the exchanges.

You can buy XRP with credit card through Bitstamp now. I expect Coinbase to start doing the same in the near future.
