I know... unfortunately I thought I was on Tues when I bought MSTU at 14.90, so my trading reserves is tapped out for now.
Why I'm trying to better understand the rhythm and reason behind drops. I tried before the fed announcement and didn't get that right at all and still don't know why it caused the market to drop so hard.
Now I'm just wondering why the fed announcement, and maybe even the govt shutdown talk, hit BTC as it did, since I thought it countered this kind of govt/market uneasiness. Just trying to catch up and build my natural instinct knowledge.

SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce wants the ETH ETFs to be able to stake and provide yields.

Perhaps most notably, Commissioner Peirce expressed optimism at revisiting two major SEC decisions pertaining to crypto ETFs. As she had expressed last time she spoke with Coinage this summer, both in-kind redemptions and the ability for Ethereum ETFs to begin staking could be up for reconsideration. And unlike last time, when the likelihood was closer to zero of either happening under Chair Gensler, Commissioner Peirce expressed optimism over those changes in the new administration.

The demand for cruises continues to rise, and Virgin Voyages has found a unique way to get travelers to choose them.
In December, the adults-only cruise line launched an unlimited cruise pass for 2025 sailings with a base fare of $120,000. With this pass, travelers can hop onto any ship, at anytime, from anywhere — for an entire calendar year.
“We’re offering unlimited opportunities for adventure in a way that has never been done in cruising before,” Richard Branson, Virgin Group Founder, stated in a press release shared with CNBC Make It.
The pass can be purchased for a start date of January 1, February 1, March 1, or April 1 and is valid for one full year after that date. Passholders must still pay taxes and fees for the cruises they book.
Virgin Voyages also announced that the annual pas

There’s a little more action this weekend than normal. Saturdays are usually particularly boring.

What does this mean? I get the yield part, but don't know the stake part and how the 2 combine in this comment. TIA.

Staking and yielding are the same thing.
Stake eth and sol to yield % gains
And polkadot for the most yield

Simply explained, you temporarily lock your tokens in a contract that secures the network. In doing so, you get paid a reward. The theory is that you are putting your tokens up as collateral to fairly confirm transactions and the blockchain. Bad actors are slashed, or penalized, and can lose their tokens for doing bad transactions. Good actors get paid a percentage of the gas fee of the block.

I would like to point out that despite news, rumors, adoption, whatever, that btc is behaving almost exactly as would be expected in a vacuum of information.
The only difference so far has been the depth of corrections and that’s probably because of ETFs…unless we end up with a 20-30% dip here back to 80kish- then there will be almost no deviations from expectations.

Closed long BTC contracts yesterday at a very small loss. I didn't want margin issues since trading starts again Christmas Day and I want to disengage for a while. If I would have waited until today I would have come out slightly better.
I closed long calls on IBIT moments ago for a gain that offset the future's loss.
I've learned in the volatility side the equity options are less work and the gains can be large more quickly. The future's contracts gains are much larger, but much more work, and don't seem to move as quickly, plus it's hard to get around margin.
@98eagle 's volatility trade.
The other poster on here whose name I don't recall had posted about CBOE's new BTC index options:

I've been looking at them and I don't see a lot of liquidity yet. But I've not taken a lot of time on it either. I can't see what the OI is here:

Anyway, long BTC and trading BTC volatility continues to make this a very Merry Christmas!
