Another all-time high.

Isn’t that guy’s track record terrible? I think his original S2F model said we’d already be at a million.
Yes, he’s one of the biggest jokes in crypto. No one takes that guy seriously anymore

Wonder how all those crypto bets holding up.
Cmc100 vs s&p500 could be a nice bet

The PENGU token dropped today and many ETH and SOL wallets are eligible for the airdrop. I got about $300 worth.

Yep, many of my sol wallets got it for being an OG phantom user. Wish I would have checked at launch. $400 became about $160 on each wallet by the time I checked last night.

I just initiated another BITX volatility trade this morning off of this BTC dip from yesterday. My only conundrum is once I reverse the trade, do I want more BITO shares or more cash, LOL.

Started to make a new thread but will try here first.
Say someone has a stack of Chainlink.
That person lost a larger stack in the Celcius disaster, and was burned by FTX.
That person is still curious about staking Link based on the things he reads on the Twitterverse.
What is the safest play for staking Link these days?

Damn. Always hurts to see that.

I wasn't even aware of the airdrop until I checked a barely active discord from years ago. It's always best to stay connected.

In case it wasn't obvious, I was being sarcastic in my post. Poking fun at the "if not for electronics, gold would just be waste" crowd.

Bought to close at $104K. Averaged up my short to slightly over $106K. (Sold to open from $104K to $107K) Get home and find out I left over $90K on the table if I had been more patient. This said, I was running around all day and didn't have time to monitor the trade so best it was done automatically for me. I've been trading 30 BTC at a time.
I'm going to go long as soon as @98Eagle gives me the word.
Pigs get slaughtered. I'm going to keep trading around volatility, and keep bunting, hitting singles and occasional doubles. Today was at least a double. It was a pretty big day for me.
I think futures have a ratio of short term term gains to long term gains if it qualifies. Maybe I'm confused. My YTD taxes for crypto shows all short term gains, so ordinary income. I rec'd an email from broker saying some will be long term gains not due to time, but solely due to the instrument being a future's contract.
I usually start be opening a micro and nano contract, which is 1/10 BTC and 1/100 BTC. I test my entry point, and then either go long or short 6 full contracts which is 30 BTC. It's future's margin, but I haven't dipped below 1000% require overnight to carry. If I had more time I wouldn't leave anything open overnight.
Anyway, this is my volatility trade. And as always, I'm long BTC with an average cost basis of $22K per BTC, which is hedged with protective puts.
BTC has been very, very good to me. To the point I'm leaving for Florida after the holidays again. My goal is I don't want to have to run my business, I want a younger guy to slowly buy in and take me over.
I don't want to mislead anyone. What I do could have gone the wrong way. None of what I'm doing now is easy. Several night this week I was up at 5AM, and monitoring trades, especially the short margined one, until late. Why I do what I do is volatility has been consistent since I started to copy @98Eagle, and I have enough assets to withstand a six digit loss it it happened. A six digit loss isn't very likely as you can see with today's buy to close. I keep pretty tight brackets, stop losses and I hedge the trade with options. This has taken me years to get here. This said, the election trade and the BTC volatility trade have been like nothing I've ever seen in my lifetime. I started BTC with buying 1 BTC at well below $10K.

I should have known better. I thought you were a Bitcoin hater. My bad. All of these TD forums are notorious for sarcasm.
There are so many real life use cases for Bitcoin. Someone posted a chart recently with quite a few categories and many companies that have been created to handle various use cases for Bitcoin. I was just noting one use case is making lots of money off of Bitcoin volatility.

Hey Iowa, I did go long today on BITX. I will double or triple down if Bitcoin were to continue to fall. You never know with Bitcoin, but my personal opinion is this big drop today is yet another overreaction to news, in this case to Powell's remarks. So I loaded up. These type pullbacks have been perfect to make volatility trades. When everyone else seems to be upset, I am like, "time to make some money" as I know Bitcoin will almost 100% recover sooner or later
I will hold BITX all the way back up to BTC at or near $110K. I think that will be within a week or two, but hard to say. Sometimes I can reverse trades quickly and sometimes it takes a couple of weeks or more. Average recovery all year has been less than a week.
You said you missed an opportunity today to make $90K more because you were not available. You sound like me. Tomorrow I will pretty much be not available all day. This never bothers me. I never worry if I miss a top or bottom. If I did I would continually be upset. I just open and close as many trades as I can on price trigger points that I set for each trade set.
I think in the next few months, Bitcoin will be significantly higher. There's just too much supply side pressure. BlackRock alone is averaging 9X what the miners create daily. More states, nations, pension funds, etc are talking about creating Bitcoin reserves. I expect a good bit of volatility before Trump takes office. At some point after then, I expect Bitcoin to take off.

Only thing I trust is the official Chainlink staking. LINKUnfortunately pool is filled. Next best would be stake.link which is the old linkpool but its way more confusing to me with the locks .

Yep, that official Link pool filled up in about 2 days.

Just bringing this back up I posted on 11/22/24.
I did a bad job explaining it but he expects ETH to push at a higher rate than BTC and alts will go along with it once the bulls get the ball back again.
quote:
I pay for a guy who has been money for 2 cycles. He expects to touch or push across to 108 then pull back and grab the inside liquidity around 83k.
This will signal the peak of BTC dominance over ETH for the cycle and ETH will start its run towards ATH.
