When did the acronym police get here?

DCA isn’t even crypto specific lingo my friend. Yes I meant “dollar cost averaging”
I promised to go easy on the crypto terminology but you are going to have to meet me halfway and learn some of the basic investing lingo, especially if we are posting on the Money Talk board

I got in on SOL specifically because it seemed like the most capable layer 1 (L1) protocol to handle the throughput and congestion they all are seeing with the NFT craze and I’m still in the green in it. I’ll credit rocket for putting it in my radar while it was still cheap.
Cardano is/was having a lot of issues with its protocols with something called concurrency and with sundaeswap struggling with congestion. I think a lot of people have lost a lot of faith in it as the ETH killer it was being marketed as. Charles Hoskinson still has an army of loyal followers though and the demand for L1s is likely not going away so it does seem like it may be a good price right now. I’m just a little wary on it/annoyed because I failed to sell it and now I’m back to even on it. Probably just gonna hold my nose and be a bag holder at this point, although again rocket nailed this one and was bearish on it when it was still like $1.50 or so
other than that I my portfolio is pretty simple
BTC 50-60%
ETH 15%
SOL 15%
LINK/ADA/LUNA the rest
and I’ve got some stables out there earning interest
My thesis right now is that we haven’t even scratched the surface of utility with NFTs. There are real world problems that can be solved with certificates of authenticity verified on a blockchain (e.g. some deepfakes can be known to be fakes if they don’t have the certificate, maybe even a decentralized patent repository). I also think Bitcoin is digital gold in a perpetually inflationary world. Ergo, I’m bullish as frick on good layer 1s in DeFi and Bitcoin. I think Chainlink is the only worthwhile oracle play as well so I threw a little at it.

I lost all faith. I moved all of my Cardano money into ETH. Specifically, Lido on zkSync through an Argent wallet. Earning 5-7% on ETH and keeping liquid stETH (though it's not useable yet, probably not until zkSync 2.0 is live) vs ADA is just a no brainer to me.
I moved most of my funds to that Argent wallet and staked ETH in Lido so I can hopefully get that sweet, sweet zkSync token when it drops. And every bit of ETH earned right now in this bear market is extra valuable.
zkSync announced yesterday that their general purpose zkEVM chain (zkSync 2.0) testnet is live. I'm so frickin pumped by that. First open license general purpose zkEVM to market, hopefully.

What's the appeal of zkSync as opposed to Matic?
Posted on 2/23/22 at 12:28 pm to tenderfoot tigah
In terms of investing, supposedly there's going to be a big zkSync airdrop but I'm not sure if that's confirmed yet.
But, zkSync isn't releasing a token. Matic and LRC are my zk rollup plays.

From an investment perspective, they've confirmed they're going to airdrop a token.
From a tech perspective, zkSync is going to be a community-owned and lead general purpose zkEVM, a true layer 2 to Ethereum. They're releasing and airdropping tokens specifically to decentralize governance. Matic, in it's current state, is highly centralized, and it's a sidechain with plans of adding zk chains. I'm not sure if the Polygon team plans to decentralize or not.

Getting nasty out there. Soon 24k bitcoin. Please. Give it to me

I feel like we will battle it out at 32k again like we did a few weeks ago tbh
The bears have had a really hard time breaking the 30-32k lines of support for the entire last year.

First stop for sure. Depends how fast things unravel though. Selling is gaining steam and this geopolitical bullshite could go on for a while with mr potato head as commander in chief.
