The frick am I suppose to do with this vtho I got for free on kucoin? Anybody actually use vet for swaps and need it for gas? Lmk

Speaking of vet, anybody worried of ibm blockchain taking over this industry? Stumbled upon it and if companies don't care about decentralization they would probably use them instead.

Nvm not even enough to withdraw because of a 200 vtho fee

What spooked me was what appeared to be a double top formation on BNB. It hasn’t completely Been confirmed yet but a double top on BNB would be a bad sign

Do I have to pay capital gains if I trade 10k worth of VET I’ve been holding for years to BTC?

I emailed humbl about the tax implications of their block ETXs. It appears that each trade will be a taxable event. Here is their response: Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to HUMBL.

All trading is done in the exchange. No funds are held on HUMBL and no trading is done on HUMBL. All taxable events happen on their exchange. You can download your trading history on the exchange and either consult a tax professional or third-party trading software. All tax reporting is the responsibility of the individual who owns the crypto account on the exchange.

Best Regards,
HUMBL Support Team

Signed in to my CB pro account for the first time since 2018. Found $30 in eth in there :stonks: (now it's probably much lower )

Also went ahead and transferred all my BTC to blockfi for long term holding

I guess it really depends on your goal. I’m not really a swing trader, so I will probably wait until absolute bottom in 12 months or so and then all in on stuff

I’m fairly new and I’ve been holding. Thinking long term

I’ve debated on selling during the highs. Moving money to USD and then buying during the lows but I get nervous and continue to hold. I just feel like I don’t have time to get that involved or even if that’s the right thing.
I’ll just continue to hold and buy when I can

I’ll be buying more Monday.

There’s nothing wrong with that. I just have ptsd from 2018 where I had thousands of dollars of fiat in bags if crypto worth only $1k after the crash. It took until this last bull run to get that back and finally make a profit.

I don’t like having that much fiat sitting around waiting for a bullrun, so I’m just gonna chill until stuff gets to a point I’m comfortable with reinvesting.

Can you explain why you think the absolute bottom will be in after 12 months?

No, I’m just guessing based off the pattern this thing has had over the years. 12 months +\- 6 months or so.

I’m open to arguments as to why this one will be different. There is way more institutional money this go around so the floor may not be as low (%from ATH-wise) and the coins may not sit at the floor for quite as long as last time.

I think btc around 40-45k seems like a reasonable re-entry point to start cost averaging at least in the short term, but I honestly don’t know. A lot more variables this time around

eta: here is a fun little chart

time to peak (TTP) was about 3.5 years 2011-2014

TTP ~3years 2014-2017

TTP end of 2017 - middle 2021? this would be 3.5 years

Time to floor in all cycles was about 1-1.5 years.

if you believe in cycles, we're pretty close to the peak for this cycle. Worth mentioning this model predicts 100k BTC before 2022 and a floor of 8k.

the market is still very dumb and fragile. not only from this CG tax rumor sell off but with the doge phenomena etc

so i think youre right on being patient, there would need to be a bullish catalyst to change my view (etf, fortune 500 or nation-state adoption) .
