I'm very new to the crypto game and don't have a lot invested because I'm slowly making my way in. Right now I own some fractional shares of bitcoin, litecoin, ethereum, and own about $800 split between ANKR, OXT, and DNT
gl brah but these aren't "shares" you're playing with here

" Bitcoin does not fulfil the basic properties of money. It is a speculative asset without any recognisable fundamental value and is subject to massive price swings. Trust in cryptocurrencies might rapidly evaporate, causing disruption in financials markets.
In order to introduce a digital euro, a great deal of preparatory work needs to be done to enable the project to be properly set up. No other institution can offer a similar degree of security and data protection as the ECB. "

are they too obtuse to realize that these types of comments make people trust bitcoin even more

Goddamn nice.
I forget I’m playing with chump change sometime.
Killing myself for stopping to buy vet for 3 years and about to fomo back in but it’s nice to finally see some big returns the last month on vet

I bought a ton before it was VET so I had to average down over the years so I just kept buying. I almost gave up on it just last year and was close to cutting my losses but I just told myself to forget about it and hope something happens one day.

This is the best video I've seen on how to use your Bitcoin to generate growing free cash flow (tax free). I never even thought about this method. If you think Bitcoin will continue to grow in value it makes sense to borrow cash against it. He shows you how to do that in the video, i.e., an individual can do this today using BlockFi. You pay a much lower cost in interest (and still keep your Bitcoin) versus selling your Bitcoin and paying much more up front in taxes (and losing your Bitcoin).
Keeping your Bitcoin and borrowing against it allows you to enjoy the opportunity cost of an asset growing in value. For example, you keep taking out an approx. 5% loan each year, and use that to pay off your last year's 5% loan plus pocket the extra cash in free non-taxable cash flow. The video uses conservative numbers, but in reality, if Bitcoin went up 3 times in price in a year you could take less than a 5% loan in the next year, or if BTC dropped in value or only gained say 50% in a year, you could reduce or eliminate your free cash flow for the next year.
The video is 37 minutes long, and the strategy starts at 26:48. The whole video is great and is a must see if you are a Bitcoin owner. A lot of the first 26 minutes are about stuff you probably already know but it sets up the background for the strategy.

Anyone going to Bitcoin Conference 2021 in Miami?

yeah, saylor brought this up originally in the saefideen pod a few months ago if you wanted to check it out. i listened to it a few times
concept is that the underlying asset (bitcoin) is appreciating (growing in value) faster than the debt obligations grow (through the interest plus principle). so you can simply roll over the financing as it becomes due without ever having to sell. he also says you could just die with the debt if you wanted to as you can always just keep rolling over the loan

Thoughts on BOSON? Lit up Kucoin, with BNB level trading volume. Is this one to watch, or day one fluke?
