As these tweets point out, I cannot see this simply as meta establishing in case of emergency optionality in the future if there are temporary timing differences.
They are as aggressive as anyone trying to procure compute. I do not think that changes. This is a Spacex like short term plan B insurance policy.

If tweet fails to load, click here. I haven’t been able to parse out some of the quotes but I think this move today in the neocloud a has just as much to do with what Karp is saying.

From a Grok transcription in the X post-
Not suggesting he is right or that most companies could even feasibly own their full stack AI implementation.
ETA: I fully submit that I’m not a technologist and could be misunderstanding the privacy concerns.
quote:
- **What Customers Want**: Control over their full stack (compute, models, data) so they own their competitive advantage ("alpha"). Secure & sovereign AI over hype-driven approaches.
- He was passionate (even "angry"-sounding per anchors) about shifting from hype to practical, customer-controlled AI

Rally beer!
My account is down 12% today. But I’ve dumped all my cash back in. Let’s rebound!

I'm confused on this, is he saying that customers DON'T want what NBIS can provide?

I’m back in.
Average share price 233.50

I’m a bit confused as well. Confused is probably the wrong term. Uninformed is likely best.
I think he’s moreso targeting the frontier models and questioning their security as it relates to their customers’ IP.
But if all enterprises truly wanted full control of their own GPUs & AI stack then I would think that’s a threat to neoclouds. I just don’t agree with the premise.

Cost basis went from $79 to $85 today after I bought more shares. Definitely makes days like today easier to stomach.
Paging Paul!!!

One thing I learned from the late October/early November free fall is to make sure I ALWAYS have dry powder. I sold 900 shares last week at 285. Went all into today in increments between 232 and 228. Ave cost basis now at 229.68. Ready to roll back toward 280 plus !
