as a first time option trader only use money you are willing to kiss goodbye because it can go bye bye really fast.
you could even paper trade on think or swim or a similar simulator. just to learn the ropes.

Just my initial thought on the day, could obviously change, but this is what I am going to try and do....
Spike to 127 or so, will know when the spike is finished cause it will start dropping rather quickly. This is where I am going to try and sell off half my calls.
Drop back down to the 122/123 range where I will get back in...watch it YO-YO all morning before slowly working up to a nice 126.50 finish

Bloomberg article dropped at 6am about Microsoft spending $33B with neoclouds and more details about the deal with Nebius. Also, it's out there that Nebius bought $90m of land south part of Birmingham, indicating they will be building their Southeast Datacenter there

probably gonna roll my 10/3s at open. I had to leave the office around 1 yesterday and didn't check on anything until 20 minutes ago so this has been a nice surprise. I'm always envious that i don't have the bankroll to buy as many options as y'all but gotta keep reminding myself that this is the beginning of options trading for me and to just keep dipping my toes in with what I'm ok losing. Glad to be experimenting on what's been a winning stock so far.

I'm thinking of selling my 10/31s within the first 30 minutes of trading. Like you said, keep an eye on it. I may put money right back on the 10/31s, or go into November. Leaning on November, because I feel good about the earnings report.

Given the volatility of this stock I think I’m going to “take the money and run” and look for an entry for Nov calls at some point.

Having the right attitude helps. I don't tell my wife what I'm doing because it scares the shite out of her. I showed her the balance on my "house money" account a couple of months ago, and she didn't believe me, and hasn't asked to see it since. It's house money, so we aren't counting on it to retire, so there is no pressure as far as I'm concerned.

Spike might only get to 125, but philosophy is still the same, watching intently at the begging for then the spike is over....oh man, this is some exciting shite right here

Also, this is likely a gap that will be filled over the next week or so. It's not the same as the first MSFT gap.
