Well that might have been the best MVIS earnings call update I've personally ever heard. I can't wait to read through the transcript when it is released. So many positive updates.
And they FINALLY confirmed they are working with Microsoft! About damn time.

Q2 Call Transcript
Here are some of the main points.
Also, if you haven't seen their new website, go check it out. They show a simulation of their LiDAR which will officially be demoed next month at the IAA Mobility show in Munich.
Here are some of the main points.
quote:
-I am pleased to report that this month we will start conducting moving platform testing at a third-party track.
-Today, our focus remains on establishing ourselves as a trusted partner for automotive OEM, Tier 1 and mobility-as-a-service companies. We expect our closely integrated hardware and software to enable the ADAS safety market, while also supporting potential partners in the autonomous driving market. We expect to start validating our ADAS safety capabilities through our track testing program by second quarter 2022. Nothing is more important to us than getting this right with our products and partnerships.
-With the interest we have received so far, we expect to continue expanding our funnel for target partnerships with the addition of a business development team in Germany. We also expect to add business development teams to address North America and Asia-Pacific markets at some point in the future.
-We expect to introduce our Lidar family of products which will include four new product models. This will include our premium product with dynamic field of view with near, mid, and far fields of view in a single product. We believe this product could someday be considered a
standard for ADAS safety. We will also introduce three additional models with fixed field of view in near, mid or far fields. All four models would be built on the current hardware with their appropriate software. Because all four products will be built on the same hardware, it will limit our inventory exposure while allowing our business development team to have flexibility in converting our sales funnel.
-We are looking at every opportunity to accelerate sales and adoption of our hardware while targeting a blended margin in the range of 50% for direct sales opportunities.
-For the second quarter, revenue was $746,000, a 56% increase over last quarter’s revenue of $479,000. All of the second quarter’s revenue was royalty revenue and attributable to Microsoft Corporation, who’ve previously referred to as our April 2017 customer.
-Cash and cash equivalents at the end of the second quarter was $135.3 million, up from $75.3 million at the end of the prior quarter. The increase was the result of the Company raising funds on the $140 million ATM we put in place in June.
-We'd like to raise the remaining, roughly $70 million that's on the ATM. We would like to, but we don't have any specific plans to do that at this time. Part of the reason, a lot of the reason for the ATM is the confidence it's giving to customers and suppliers and employees and prospective employees.
- I expect us to establish ourselves and lead the ADAS and autonomous driving space with our hardware and software into the future. We remain confident in our ability to successfully execute on our strategy. I am clearly bullish on our future.

$2.5B market cap for a company that might generate $3MM in revenue in 2021 and has been around for 28 years. Weird times.

weird times indeed. other end of the spectrum. Rocket Mortgage $2.4B market cap yet had $2.7B profit in 2021 Q1.

As weird as it is, this is still a pre-revenue company, even after 28 years. Their technology was that ahead of its time. It's honestly amazing they survived this long to see their tech finally find its place in the world. I think it speaks to the legitimacy of the tech/patents.
So yeah, MVIS is not valued at $2.5b for the 2021 revenue. Go look at LAZR(valued at $6b), same thing, not much revenue. These companies are valued so high based on the $40b-$80b TAM that LiDAR will bring.
MVIS also gets an extra bump in value because of their patents around augmented reality, their work with Microsoft, and on the US Army IVAS. Many long-time longs feel that the NED vertical will be sold this year, that is also part of the current value.

Well you weren’t wrong about the tech/patents, just too early.

The swinging at $18 I get but it’s only gone over $20 in two time periods - the February craze when everything in the market was hitting new highs and the recent Reddit pump. I don’t know that either of those would be considered cyclical swings
I heard from a reputable penny YT channel that penny season gets really going during the winter. Insider Financial is the channel. Very boring channel

I’ve actually been intrigued by AEVA for lidar. I saw a spreadsheet of its capabilities compared to its competitors and they blew everyone else out of the water. Think the only downside is that it was really expensive

Can anyone Collin the recent tumble in prices? It’s down to &7.50. I’ve been following amd owning this stock for a year and this is the lowest I’ve seen it.
My petty little attempt at swing trading is swinging the wrong way.

Been awhile but I'm about to start making some big buys again. I don't see this going much lower than $6.11. I'm still thinking we test $30-$50 by end of 2022. Below is the log scale monthly chart to support my technical thesis.

What the hell is going on with MVIS? I was swinging it for a few cycles and this time it looks like the falling knife it’s gonna leave a scar.
Does anyone have even the slightest glimmer of hope that we can get back to $9?

it's dead along with most other meme stocks. Will see $1 before it sees $10 (probably never will recover to that level).
