Majority of the semiconductor sector has been selling off since last week. A lot of profit taking. We sold the majority of our MU and San after earnings but I got back in a tad too early it looks like.

Would think that meta selling excess compute makes everyone nervous that capex will be reduced. Both them and spaceX having excess compute sort of running counter to the idea that we are severely limited

Meta just announced it’s building another $10B data center in Canada. I’m not sure they even have that extra capacity to sell. They may have just meant to state it will be a policy. Amazon just went to raise another $25B this week. Apple just signed a $30B deal with Broadcom for chips. This AI stuff has not shown signs of a slow down yet outside of people spouting stuff out their asses. This just seems like the same 30% correction we saw after MUs previous monster earnings.

I don’t think that’s driving this. It’s just Wall Street being Wall Street. I mean look at all the AI plays taking hits that are even bigger and nothing has changed strategically. Cap ex is still growing by the hyper scalers. China crap memory or chips is not why companies like a NBIS is going to crash too. It’s all Wall Street games.
