That’s cool. Down an additional $2.51 in after hours. $6 for the day.

There isn’t one. I’m just stating it’s down.

Cramer had this as a buy 2 weeks ago, and now he’s piling on the UBS analyst’s sell rating which I think is BS.

A dozen analysts reiterate a buy with elevated prices, one says hold and UBS shows up with a sell rating and a share cost of nearly half of the other yearly averaged prices.

Which one means the most? The outlier sell, even though Micron smashed earnings and elevated its own yearly projections, or the dozen buys?

The speculation right now is that the market gets oversaturated with semiconductors (DRAM) and that Micron's projected earnings go to shite. It's pure speculation on account that the industry is cyclical and the next downturn will eventually come (duhh). The analyst feels the market is riding too high right now historically to be sustainable much longer.

Micron is (now) a great company though whose stock is absurdly cheap. I'm hoping it gets in to the low 40's. I'll be buying then

Shouldn't you be posting to let us know that your stock is up $2.00 this morning?

BTW, is this the same Micron that used to make the Micron PC back in 1999-early 2000s?

EDIT: Nope, it's not.

I'd love to know the real story about how that carnival barker is still on the air.

I owned a Micron PC
and I actually think it is part of the same company....

LINK- Wiki Micron

Under HISTORY:
"A 1996 3-way merger among ZEOS International, Micron Computer, and Micron Custom Manufacturing Services (MCMS) increased the size and scope of the company;[2] this was followed rapidly with the 1997 acquisition of NetFrame Systems, in a bid to enter the mid-range server industry.[4]"

I dunno. When I Googled it, it said the company that made the Micron PC got out of computers in 2003 and ceased operations in 2008.

But maybe?

MU falling back down today. What's a good buy-in point? Do they still look to be a good long-term hold?

I'm not wanting to buy at these levels because I was in in the mid 30's so I don't want to buy yet. With that being said, now is a good time to buy because they'll have a few catalyst in May including earnings and their investor day I think on May 25th. This analyst just contradicted what he said 3 weeks ago about supply issues so it's mostly speculation. They don't have a demand problem and analyst see 3% pricing increases in 2019 so they won't have margin contraction. Screaming buy at this valuation, and I wouldn't be surprised if they announce a dividend at some point in the near future

Sounds good! I was waiting to see it hit the $47ish mark again after it dipped before. I missed it last time waiting on Robinhood to clear my money. Someone else had mentioned low-40s before and that's what I was hoping for, but it shot back up after hitting $47.
